Topic: RE: New Years Resolutions
I have three resolutions... 1) Visit the dentist...I know that may sound silly, but I hate going to the dentist. 2) Reach my goal - I started at 327 and I am down to 197. I would like to loose another 25 pounds this year. 3) I have a beautiful adopted daughter from Guatemala and my husband and I would like to adopt another baby from Guatemala. We are looking into it and considering the cost. It costs approximately $25,000 - so I am going to need to do some creative fund raisers or something to help with this one.

Topic: A 2005 poll
How many times have you written 2005? I"ve only typed it. I"m sure I will have to practice. I haven't written any checks yet. What 1 thing did you accomplish in 2004 that you never thought would happen? I've lost over 100 pounds, can now cross my legs at the knee, I do not shy away from the camera, I can fit in ANY BOOTH ANY WHERE, I don't worry too much about the construction of the chair I am about to sit on AND, I've told my husband how much I weigh. What is the last movie you saw in the theater? The Phantom of the Opera, just 2 days ago! What 1 thing do you hope to accomplish in 2005? Lose about 50 more pounds and get pregnant! What size clothing were you wearing this time last year? 30/32 What size clothing are you now wearing? (by the way, you rock!) it depends on where it comes from, but generally about a size 16/18 Describe your hair loss during the past year. I lost a lot of hair at about month 5 to about month 7. My generally thick hair was average to thin and dull looking. Describe your hair now. My shoulder length hair is showing signs of new growth with tons of tiny sprouts all over my head. Have you updated your profile during the last year on OH? Yes, please read it. Have you read other profiles of Feb. 2004 brothers and sisters? Yes, I"ve read Lee's, Joanne, Julia's, Windy Pat's, Mary D's, Xeni WLS's, Delania's, Linn's, Whose can you identify with? Nearly everyone's. I enjoyed reading Julia's, Windy Pat's and Lee's especially.

Paula, Happy New Year to you. February 13th is my anniversary date. As of Dec. 13 I have lost 62 1/2 inches total. 146 pounds. I have a short term goal of 160 to loose so 15 pounds before I reach that. Once I've lost 160 I would have literally lost 1/2 of the old me. I started at 321 the day of surgery. I am at 175 now. Over all my goal is to be 150 pounds. I went from a size 28/30 to a size 15/16 now. I am loving life too. Delainya 321/175/150

Topic: RE: somewhat down
Linda, You have accomplished so much the last year. Isn't if wonderful!!!! Try not to get hung up on having to be at goal by your one year anniversary. Many it takes longer and oh my gosh, you only have 16 lbs to go. I have lost 124 lbs total (50 of it pre-op) and have 50 more lbs to go. Coffee -- reasons not to drink 1. High acid --- hard on many people's tummy 2. High caffeine --- which can incurease the appetite 3. Can act as a duritetic in the system and you don't want anything that can add to the possible dehydration 4. I also believe that something in the coffee can deplete calcium in the bones. Mary
