I'm still alive..
We found out that after 7 months of trying that we are not able to get pregnant on our own, and we cannot afford IVF, so we are saving our pennies so that hopefully at some time next year we will be able to afford a round of IVF.
I am still pretty depressed about it all, but try not to think about it ( easier said than done). I have been keeping to myself for a while now, I really dont go far or do much, however I have a new job. So I am keeping myself busy as much as I can.
Anyway on a happier not how is your pregnancy going?
and what is your due date?
do you know what you are having?
are you going to find out?
Keeping well?
have you put much weight back on being pregnant? I know that is my big fear, thats where a I put my weight on in the first place.
oh well, thats it for now..

Topic: I Survived Plastic Surgery
I am 15 days post op from a hernia repair, TT, & Brachioplasty. I am going to try to sleep in my own bed tonight. I have stayed with my Mom (she has an electric hospital bed, which made sleeping positions easy) since my surgery.
I am still in moderate pain (still extremely swollen)--still taking Vicodan. The incisions on my arms are 12" each & the incision on my abdomen is 26". It curves up at the belly button & actually resembles a cat's smile. If you could draw whiskers at my belly button--you would have a cat's face!!! I'm trying not to laugh because it HURTS.
Thanks for all the thoughts & prayers.

Topic: RE: HELP!!! potassium
I was having all kinds of trouble last October through March. I had chest pains, severe heart palpatations, fainting spells, nausea. It all came down to a rotten and severe potassium deficiency. They hospitalized me and gave me potassium through an IV, then I was on the max dose of potassium for a while. Now I take a strong potassium supplement. I am having a LOT of trouble with Potassium and Iron malabsorption. The only thing you can do is supplement, supplement, supplement.
Good Luck!

I think that for many of us who are diabetic, it's a lot harder, even if we are more 'normalized' after RNY in regards to sugar, to lose weight. I know that I'm currently looking into getting more information on how diabetic post-bypassers are supposed to metabolize food post-op, because right now, I really spike high (in the 200s sometimes) right after eating, then drop to normal at 2 hrs, then drop into hypo numbers around 3-4 hours after eating sometimes.
I still consider myself fortunate, at this point, because I've been able to stay off diabetic meds since the surgery, but am afraid with those spikes, my next A1C isn't going to be as good as the past ones were. Not sure what changed, but need to figure it out
.
