Topic: RE: What path are you on?
Mary,
I find myself in the same situation as you. Sometime I feel like I don't really know what I want. The old habits creeps back in every now and then. I have to regroup and realize why I did this in the first place. Go back to what I know work. Not gaining but scared as heck if I don't get a grip the weight will come back. What are the answers to the old habits and increase appetite?
Happy Tuesday

Topic: 2 yr update
my how time flies.it has been two years since I took the biggest step of my life.In the first 18 monhs I lost 264 lbs.Since last June the weight has remained the same give or take 3 to 5 lbs,but my clthes size has gone down 3 more sizes.I am relly glad I am in no hurry to do plstics just yet.I am quiet surprised to find out how easy my new way of life has become.Don't misunderstand the first 6 to 8 months were a living nightmare. So many changes and new ways to do things. But after my new patterns were established it really is an easy way to live.I've had very few problems relatd to the surgery itself.Passed 4 kidney stones 4 months post op,but that was nothing new,I'd had them before. And now i have a pinched nreve in my neck.am waiting for a referral to a neurologist so I can return from lala land.the drugs are good for pain relief but make me non functional.I am so grateful for this gift and to the Drs that were willing to help me on this journey.

Our lives have gone thru some much the last two years. Do you ever wonder if your journey is over with your transformation (internal and external both) OR do you feel that it has just begun OR are you in the cross roads of not knowing?
I think I'm on the crossroads ... I still have much to learn. I still want to lose more weight. Sometimes too I feel like I don't know what I want to be when I grow up (LOL). Do any of you feel that way too?
The last few months I get going back to good habits and eating, then blow it. Altho not gaining, sure not losing. I need to get my focus back, you know the kind of focus we had pre-surgery and as a new post op. During those times it was so much easier to stay on track and exercise.
Have a great day whatever you do.

Hi~
I agree with everyone that you should try to releive some stress by exercizing and music does help. I listen to my cd-player and try to distract myself and more protien and water but I love sugar free tea with sweet-n-low and I freeze it so it stays cold longer
Also try taking a bubble bath
and watch a good movie.
Hope my suggestions help you some try it!

Delainya,
Here's the link to the plateau buster I posted last week:

A number of people on another list have used it to get back on track and lose additional weight.

Delainya,
I too am sending hugs your way. Sometimes, it seems like life just turns upside down on us and eating seems to make things go smoother.
Mary gave you some wonderful food ideas! The only other thing I can think of is letting you know that I've been walking alot here lately and it seems to make me feel better, both physically and mentally. When I'm walking, I seem to be able to think things through and always feel better afterward. If you could maybe get 30 minutes in here and there, it might just help take a little of the stress off of you. I know it always helps me.
A few weeks ago, I cut way back on my food intake for about 4 days. All I had was 5 meals (maybe 4 ounces at each meal) throughout the day that consisted only of protein. I lost 4 pounds and noticed my stomach couldn't hold as much anymore when I started adding some carbs back in. I still can't hold as much as before I started the diet. And sticking to it for 4 days wasn't so bad.
I hope things turn around for you soon!
