Topic: Does your stomach "girgle" after you eat?
Hi everyone, After I eat, especially after eating something sweet, my stomach makes weird noises, and this is getting embarassing. I was wondering is this a result of the gastric bypass? Is anyone else experiencing this, is it gas, or is it because we cannot digest certain foods the same as we did before surgery? Any and all responses are greatly appreciated. Take care, Rhonda

Happy Birthday, Mary, and on taking your vitamins! This past week, I've gotten my exercising in and gotten plenty of water in. I have that part down pat.... I've got to really work on keeping the carbs down to a minimum, and I pledge to do that this week. I did lose two of the three pounds I gained over the last few weeks. But, I will have to admit my clothes feel like their shrinking! Have a great week!!! Wanda

My weight has stayed the same, but I finally am back taking my vitamins daily!!!!! YIPEEEEEEEEEE It's been a week of high stress but things are calming down now. My birthday was Wednesday and Hal gave me a beautiful gold butterfly pendant with chain. Do you know the story of the butterfly with regards to our WLS journey? 1. When we are in the beginning stages, running here, running there to get approval ... it seems to take forever. We are the caterpiller then. 2. Once we have approval and are waiting and waiting for surgery, we are then in the cacoon stage. 3. Once we have surgery, we are set free and emerge as the butterfly who get more beautiful and stronger with each day. My goals this week remain the same, to eat less carbs and take my vitamins and to exercise. Mary 305/179/?????

Good Morning Good Morning How are you doing? Happy Passover and Happy Easter to those of you who observe these holidays. May be it a time spent with friends and family. How did you do this week? Did you meet your goals? Have you been able to avoid the goodies around every corner, especially those long earned chocolate bunnies????? Where is everyone? Many started this commitment with me over a month ago, but the participation is dwindling on the board itself. Take a minute to post and recommitment. Remember you are worth the effort and you will succeed, taking it one day at a time. Mary

Topic: Lipo in a Box
Have any of you use ever used in of the "lipo in a box" items???? lipoinabox.com/products.htm (http://www. to beginning to make link work) (body shaping undergarments for women) They are also sold on QVC. Lipo in a box website does NOT allow any returns only exchanges for defective merchandise, however QVC has a 30 day return policy. qvc.com (add http://www. to beginning to make link work) (I have purchased from QVC for years ... they are great). With QVC if the product is not what you wanted, didn't fit correctly etc it can be returned. If you have used Lipo in a box, did you find it true to size ... what did you think of the quality of the product? Thanks. Mary

Topic: RE: Vitamins
Thanks for sharing, Mary. I fortunately have no problems taking my vitamins/calcium; however, my daughter has a hard time swallowing large pills. I found the Citracal Calcium Citrate Plus Vitamin D chewables at Sams just a few weeks ago and bought them for her. I tried one and they're not bad at all! I will look for the Viactiv Milti-Vitamins for her as she is getting tired of the children's chewables. Thanks!!! Wanda BTW: She has lost 80 pounds.... She went with me to Gatlinburg, Tennessee last week and shopped at all the outlet stores while I was in the conference. She brought home so many new clothes.... I don't ever recall seeing her SO HAPPY!!!

Annette, Fantastic weight loss, that is wonderful. So glad you got your thyroid pills. My surgeon told me that for me I should have between 75 and 125 grams of protein a day. I know each surgeon is different on what they require, but I try to remind myself that I need an absolute minimum of 60 grams to just maintain normal muscle mass and my heart is a muscle so that protein is extremely important.
