Topic: Took the Plunge ...
and jumped into our pool today. The pool water on its own has been at 78 degrees this week. Still too cold to swim in. We decided that we would go ahead and heat the pool to 88. I was like a kid at Christmas waiting for Santa. I couldn't wait for the morning to arrive. I was up and in the pool by 7:30 am. It was fantastic. Even Hal came out and joined me in the pool. I did a lot of treading water (great exercise) and jogging in place for about 45 minutes. So got a good workout. Fun way to start the day too. We should only need to heat it for a few weeks, then the temp will be at least 88 on its own.

Got it from QVC the other day. Very pleased with the product and it does fit according to the person's weight --- I had my doubts. Definitely helps to smooth out the bulges and is comfortable too. I can beathe and move in it. I got the panty/midriff one.

Liz, Loved the response .... and the 0/7 sleep made me smile. It is strange how hard it can be to get enough sleep in even when we want to. I often go to bed late, then can't sleep and get up for a while longer. Always something to do and my mind can get on overdrive for sure. I understand about the vitamins and congratulations on getting them taken each day!!!!!! That is fantastic. Mary

Wanda, Congratulations!!!!!! You are doing great!!!!! Super tip about the crystal light. I have a snow cone machine and make them often using sugar free syrups of ice cubes made with crystal light. YUMMY and no calories. Funny you should mention the pool. Our pool is at 78 right now, I agree way too cold to use. Hal agreed that we could start heating it now since we only need to heat 10 degrees and as it gets warmer out, less and less to heat. This way we will extend our swimming season from April to hopefully Oct/Nov. My plan is Curves then coming home to use the pool to cool off. Crossing my fingers the heating bill (gas) won't go thru the roof. Mary

Hello everyone. I've done well this week. Got my water and exercise in... so met those goals. Weighed in and have lost a pound. Am now at 181. This week I will keep my previous goals of getting my water and exercise in. I'm going to add the goal of keeping track of all calories comsumed in fitday.com. I started this on Tuesday and it is really helping me stay aware of what I'm eating. I've started doing something that I wanted to share: I mix one of the little tubes of crystal lite (or walmart brand) with a 20 ounce bottle of water and stick it in the freezer in the a.m. By lunch time, its slushy. I feel like I'm getting a treat! Hope everyone has a great week!!! Mary.... our pool got up to 81 degrees last Sunday. The girls and their friends got in but that's way too cold for me!! 88 degrees is perfect for me...

Good morning everyone ... how's your week gone so far. Were you able to meet your commitments for the week? Did you make sure you got in your protein and your water? Water is sooooo important when it starting to get hot (especially here in AZ). When we go out, we now take frozen water (1/2 ice, 1/2 water) in insulated carriers so that we have water with us. It is already up into the 90s here. I'm ready to go swimming but the pool is only 76 degrees, so still a *****illy for me. The pool guy said 85 was perfect for swimming. I got all my vitamins in this week thanks to the chewable Viactiv multi and the chewable Citracal calcium (the lemon is the best flavor on this one, but chocolate and caramel are good too). Exercised each day too, but didn't get to Curves. Had many commitments so walking was the one exercise I could fit in and Millie loved that. Same commitments this week. Weight is holding its own. Lynda, I'm sending you a private e-mail in a minute. I contacted a friend who had PS in Bellflower and she is loaded with good information. Mary

Lynda, How exciting that you are to the point that you are looking into plastic surgery now! Its a shame that the first doctor you went to left you with such a bad impression. I can't offer any advice but wanted you to know I hope you can find a doctor that you are comfortable with and that has your best interest at heart. Wanda

Mary, Thanks for the encouraging words. I am tracking my food intake on fiday.com. It is a great tool to use! It also has a graph that shows how many calories you have taken in each day compared to how many you have used. That is very encouraging for me!!! Wanda
