Denise, Just a note ... much of what I had read about pregnancy and weight loss surgery says to wait until they were 18 months out before trying to get pregnant because you are still in the weight loss mode and because your body is still adjusting to all of the changes from the surgery. Did your surgeon give any recommendations for a time-frame for you? Another piece of information I picked up from reading is to be sure to have an OB doctor that is familiar with WLS and the malabsorption issues. Wishing you the best. A baby would be thrilling. Did you also know that there is a post-op pregnancy board on obesity help? Here's the link: http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/amosforums/postop_pregnancy/ No, I'm not interested in getting pregant (I'm 52) but over the last two years have done research for friends who wanted surgery and then pregnancy. Denise, For the most part I've kept tempting items out of the house. My husband doesn't have a weight issue and his favorites are plain M&Ms. They normally don't talk to me, but I find that by having them in his office and he eats them in there that I am not tempted. I think having protein bars (that I really like) has helped because it makes me feel like I am eating a treat item and it is satisfying too. Luckily I truly dislike cookie dough ice cream and that is his favorite, so again no temptation. Mary

Hi Lee and everyone else, Are you scheduled to have your tubal ligation reversed? Are you still getting it done and then trying to get pregnant? I've been off the pill for about 2 months. I'm hoping to predict ovulation this month and try for a boy...timing, timing, timing! I'll be interested to hear what's happening with you, if you care to share. I also have a soft spot to hear about your daughter, of course if it's not too personal or painful. You can e-mail me if you'd like. Let's meet in NYC. Anyone else interested? Have a glorious day Denise

sorry to hear that you dumped. i don't dump, although, I have not gone overboard with sugar yet. I use splenda when anything calls for a little sweetening. Mary, I have a thing for Peanut M & M's. I've only had two since surgery. I do not buy them...they will scream for me from the pantry until I rescue them from their little bag and throw them in my mouth. I have eaten some things that have not agreed with me, like some Auntie Ann's soft pretzel that turned into a dough ball in my pouch. Raw cookie dough - which i just love - gave me explosive diarrhea. Live and learn. Denise

How many times have you written 2005? Only once that I can remember. This morning, when I had to write a REAL check to pay a bill. Honestly, why can't all companies institute online bill payment??? What 1 thing did you accomplish in 2004 that you never thought would happen? You want just ONE thing???? Let's see... I am no longer so self conscious I avoid social functions or stay at home just because... What is the last movie you saw in the theater? Finding Neverland What 1 thing do you hope to accomplish in 2005? Again, you want ONE thing? Take your pick... remodel kitchen and bathroom, marry off daughter, lose another 100 pounds, go blonde etc, etc... What size clothing were you wearing this time last year? 34+ (5x) What size clothing are you now wearing? (by the way, you rock!) anywhere from 18-22 in pants, and 2X in shirts. Describe your hair loss during the past year. Lots of loss starting at 2 months. It got dull and yucky. I started seeing a slow down in loss at about 7 months. Describe your hair now. Looks like its growing back. I have short "undergrowth" all over. Got a haircut and color job last night. 1st in many years (color). I now have carmel brown highlights and everyone is telling me I look younger! Have you updated your profile during the last year on OH? Yes, but not within the past month or so (I think). I'll have to look at it. Please read it. Have you read other profiles of Feb. 2004 brothers and sisters? Yes, I have, but not recently. Whose can you identify with? Nearly everyone's. Thanks, Denise! These questions were great. WP

I'm sure your work outs will be very effective. If I can get to 30 minutes on the elliptical machine, I'll be tickled pink! Julie
