Since my surgery. I have been having problems with Pill. I keep spotting. My doctor told me it was because of the surgery and all the weight I am losing. He did not recommend the patch. Stated he has alot of patients that became pregant on the patch. Tina

I'm there right along with everyone else! We have had a relatively mild winter so far here in Maryland (that will change this weekend and I'm dreading it!), but I'm still cold most of the time. It used to be my husband who was cold, because in the summer I cranked the AC down to 70 and in the winter keep the heat low. Now he says the house is hot with the heat set at 72, and I'm usually freezing. I guess it's because we all lost our insulation!! As Ruthann says though, it's much easier to put warm clothes on than to strip to get cool - - less shocking to others too, especially now with all the loose, hanging skin!

Oh, I'm so happy for your Kelly. Those plateaus can be very discouraging. I've been fighting the same two or three pounds since November. You give me hope! Can't wait to see your new pic. I'm hoping to have my before and "after in progress" pics posted next week. I dream of the day I can say I wear 8/10! Right now I'm in a 12 and happy to be there, but 8/10 would be even better. Hi there, Oh boy can I relate to that! This time last year I was outside shoveling snow in nothing more than Jeans and T-Shirt, and still complaining that I was hot all the time. Now... Oh my, It is always so cold and we have not even had so much snow this year, and the two times that it has snowed enough to need shoveling, I have amazingly found myself to be really busy doing anything that my husband has had to go out and do it. I now wear undershirts all the time, just to keep some extra insulation happening. as for the question.. How are we handling the cold weather? : I'm not, I'm complaining to anyone that will listen that I'm cold.. Stay Warm Everyone! Lee

hello all my fellow februarys....i can't belive it is close to one year since my surgery of 2/23/2004. Things have been pretty wonderful. I went through a 6 to 8 week plateau that finally broke and i went from about 163 to 149 as of this morning. I am wearing a size 8/10 in most pants and small/medium tops.... sooooo please don't give up for those of you who are still dealing with those nasty plateaus. It will kick in again if you go back to basics. For me i upped my water and added two protein drinks a day. I did this for the first 6 months and then because of the added cost I stopped.... Hope everyone is doing well and my new pic should be posted soon. Kelly

HI, IN 11 MONTHS I HAVE LOST 183 LBS. 352 LBS TO 169LBS. YOU WANT PROTEIN??? TUNA ,TUNA, AND MORE TUNA.. ANY WAY YOU FIX IT IS FINE. AND CHEESE. AMERICAN, PROVOLONE, MONTERY JACK. DON'T CONCERN YOURSELF WITH "HOW MANY GRAMS" EAT PROTEIN ALL THE TIME. IF YOU CAN. GO WITH HOW YOU FEEL. THAT IS THE BEST THING TO DO. EVERY ONE IS DIFFERENT.AND YOU HAVE TO DRINK 60 TO 80 OZ A DAY OF WATER . EVERY DAY!!!!!!!!!! DO THAT, AND YOU WILL DROP LIKE A ROCK. ALSO, INDULDGE IN A SMALL PIECE OF CHOCOLATE ABOUT 1 HOUR AFTER YOU EAT. IT HELPS GET THE PROTEIN IN YOR SYSTEM FASTER. I EAT CHOCOLATE EVERY DAY!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK. JIM AUGELLO

Katherine, Congratulations on getting the weight loss started again. I admire your dedication to exercising; walking is the best form of exercise and has the least amount of stress on the body. God Bless you and keep up the good work. LeDoux

Hey Denise! Boy can I relate. I remember last year at this time, my family would get so mad at me because I didn't want to turn the thermostat up to 65! I told them it was because gas was so high. Who was I kidding! I should have known how outrageous I was when my brother and his wife came over one evening and she put her heavy winter coat back on - IN THE HOUSE! We keep the house at 69 now and I freeze. If it gets real bad, I sometimes put a skull cap on (and hope no one comes to the door!) and that helps. I even turn my side of the electric blanket on at night...... I never thought that would happen. It really doesn't get too cold down here in Tennessee, even though we had a bad ice storm at Christmas. Today, its real foggy and 59 degrees but expected to get cold at the end of the week (30's for high). Keep warm...........Wanda 256/182/145

Hi Denise. I'm a freeze baby too. Do you remember the days, (I do), of being a red-faced, hot, sweaty and crabby lady... always complaining about how hot it was? Whew! I'd much rather be freezing and adding nice comfy flannels and fleeces than being that swollen, sweaty crab! We "babysat" our daughter's Boxer for almost a year, and I used to tease and laugh at him when he sat on the heat register. He'd put his face right into the hot air and go to sleep, only getting up once the air got cooler. It's a good thing that he moved back in with my daughter, cause we'd be fighting over the heat registers in the house. Whenever the furnace kicks on, you can find me hovering over the vent like a scarecrow! It works really great to hold a blanket around you and catch all the hot air! About the only time I'm not chilly nowadays is when I'm have a hotflash. I never knew that menapause would be about praying for a hotflash so I could warm up for a few minutes! My family just laughs at me, and are so greatful that I don't insist on keeping the thermostat at 62 anymore! Keep warm! Ruthanne
