Trisha, I'm so glad to hear you sounding better. Sometimes all we need is just a little pick-me-up and I'm glad we may have helped you out a little. I never would have had my hair the way it is now many pounds ago. It's curled under at or below the chin. It would've enhanced my round face before, but softens the square jaw now. Have fun with the new hair. It always perks me up when I make a change like that. Also, continued success to you. I think of you often and hope you are doing well. Linn

Congratualtions Mary . Way to go, you should be very proud of yourself and confident you will achieve your goal your almost there. I saw your post about the books I will check into those at the Library. Those Richard Simmons tapes are a good idea I will see how much they are and maybe try them. Wishes of continued success, Jill

Hello Everyone, First let me thank all of you that replied to my post in December. The holidays were difficult and emotional but all your advice and well wishes did help and I cannot thankyou enough. Well my scale read 198 this morning and that has me jumping for joy. Haven't weighed under 200pounds in so long.I am eating good and keeping up on my walking. Yesterday I went to the salon and had my haircut short.I have never had really short hair before and truthfully was terrified I'd look aweful.LOL The hair I loss after surgery is growing back in well I had long hair with lots of lil hairs sticking up everywhere and It looked terrible.Soooo off it came and I have had so many compliments lol everyone says I look 15 years younger.I am turning 40 in July so that really made my day.I will be posting a new pic when I pick them up. Again thanks to all.Take Care Trisha

Linn, I think we all need to start seeing ourselves as others see us. It is amazing the transformation we go thru on this journey. Mary

Great Job Mary!!! Isn't it cool to have those reality moments? I couldn't believe it when someone said to me in conversation, "But you're so SMALL" when I still don't see myself as small as I'm told I am. Linn

Topic: I just realized ......
That I have lost exactly what I want to weigh!!!!!!! Yikes, I've lost a whole person. My high weight was 305. As of today, I weigh 180 and have lost 125 lbs. I would like to weigh 125 lbs so that my BMI will be in the normal range. It was such a weird realization that I have lost what I want to weigh. Also altho I knew I was heavy, I never saw myself as heavy as my before photos shows (see profile). Now I don't see myself as thin as my after photos shows (see profile). Funny how our mind doesn't always see things the way it should. I'm happy, healthy, and loving life. The last two months the weight loss has been minimal, but it seems to now to be starting again (thank you Richard Simmons ... LOL ... I've been exercising to his tapes). Mary

Hi Michelle. You sound great. Congratulations on getting below 200 pounds. I"m still looking for it, hopefully before spring. I am so ready to kiss 200 goodbye. I wish I would have kept my size 30 jeans.............I'm much more in love with my size 16 jeans. I know how big I was. I was not beautiful. Good luck with your man. Good men are hard to find. I feel very lucky to have found my husband, when I was about 345 pounds. He still loves me. Congrats again! Denise

Michelle, congratulations on the 199! What a wonderful milestone! It's events like that, that really keep us going. The other evening, I was watching tv with my husband. He was on the couch and I was sitting in my chair with the ottoman in front. Well, he looked over and asked me if he could use the ottoman if I wasn't going to. That's when I realized, I had my knees tucked up under my *****freezing all the time now!). Can you believe it.......KNEES TUCKED UNDER MY CHIN..... and I was still breathing normal! Yes....that's what keeps us going! It also sounds like you've found a keeper! He sounds like a very caring, wonderful person. Wanda

Topic: RE: WLS Post Op Books
Lisa, The night I ordered it showed they only had 5 left in stock. I went ahead and ordered. Received confirmation that my order (both books) had been shipped. I have checked the tracking info and they should be delivered today (I hope, I hope). Why not check with your local book store and see if they can order it for you. Mary
