Annette,
Tell us more about the vitamins ... name, company that makes them. I would like to know more about them. They sound GREAT. Also will be interested in hearing more about what your doctor says about them too.
Walk away the pounds is a great indoor "walking" tape. You can do the exercises in your home in front of the TV. Never tried yoga, but many love it.

Hey Happy Saturday! Better late than never. I have been drinking that icy h20 and it is great. I found these vitamins yesterday at the pharmacy and am going to try them out and take them to the dr to check out they are strips like the mint strips you put on your tongue and they disolve right on your tongue I am going to incorporate them with my regular vitamins that I am taking now. I am going to look for a walking DVD or even yoga. That will be incorporated in my goal in the next couple of weeks have to find and interesting tape first. Doing good so far. I guess people are out and about excersizing I hope that is the reason they are not posting. Keep up the good work and hope your goals are met this week.

Busy day, so just dropping by to see how everyone is doing?
My week was good. Kept up with the vitamins and exercise. Today I tried doing the Billy Blanks Boot Camp tape ... YIKES, was it tough. Not for someone with arthritis for sure. Rode the exercise bike for 30 minutes too.
Have a great week ... post and let us know how you are doing.
Topic: RE: Hernia Repair and TT
I had heard that the TT recovery was definitely more painful than WLS. Thank goodness for the new meds to help ease the pain. Sounds like you are doing well. 9 lbs of skin ... WOW, isn't it amazing how much extra skin their is.
Once in a while I consider a TT, but don't want to do seriously consider it until I know I won't lose any more weight.
Keep us updated on how your are doing and thank you for sharing your experience with us too.

Topic: Hernia Repair and TT
I don't often post but considering that I just went through a major reconstruction event, I thought I'd share it with you. I am one week post op from a ventral hernia repair and TT. My surgeon used an anchor cut. The surgery site is looking good. My first drain was removed yesterday. My new belly button confuses me. I am feeling good. If you would like to read about my experience so far, you may do so on my page. Most of the new stuff is at the bottom.

Good morning. No weight gain or loss this week for me. Didn't go to Curves, but did walk every day and/or some form of exercise. Ordered the Billy Blank Boot Camp Elite tapes too. He focuses a lot on the abs which is what I really need. Pool will be warm enough to use this weekend >>> YIPEEEEEEEEEEE So between Curves, pool, Billy Blanks and walking with Millie I think I have exercise under control.
Company coming over tonight, am cooking slow cooker ribs, Napa Cabbage salad and fresh berries for dessert. Yummmmmm I find that I still enjoy cooking and it is pretty easy to keep it healthy and tasty.
The kids are going to love dancing thru the commercials with you. It will become a game and give you all some exercise but also some family time too with lots of fun.
Have a great week everyone.
Mary
Topic: RE: Friday check in....
The week started off a little shaky for me as we had a cookout at our house Memorial Day. But other than that, I've done pretty good. Gotten all my water and exercise in. I did gain a pound since last Friday.... hoping its jus****er weight. We bbq'd a pork shoulder, 7 slabs of ribs and about a dozen Bratwurst. All I had was a little bit of the shoulder and 1 rib (ribs aren't my favorite), so I don't feel like I did too bad Monday. I can thank my 13 year old nephew and his friend for eating all the dip and chips before I could get to it. The boys weren't too much of a hit with the adults at that moment but I was secretly thankful!
Wishing everybody a great week!

Topic: RE: Friday, Friday ... come on out and play
Thanks Mary, I am going to try protein shakes with water this weekend and let you know how I like them. My girlfriend have me one of hers to try and I will start out with that and some ice.

Topic: Friday check in....
It is Friday already, this week went quick for me. I have met my medication and vitamin goals this week and also my water intake goals but getting that constant movement in has been a challenge. My new goals for this week keep up with meds, vitamins, and water and work on incorporating a protein shake and movement maybe dancing with the kids during commercials that would be nice. How has everyone else's week gone? I hope you all meet your goals this week.
Love Annette
