Topic: My one year anniversary
One year ago today, I started my new life. I was 456 pounds and very unhappy. I couldnt move, It was a struggle just to go to work everyday. Today I weighed in at 255. That is a 201 # loss in twelve months my friends. I attribute that extreme loss to my support systems. My friends, surgeon support groups, nutritionists, pychologist, gym trainer and most importantly YOU~! What I would of done without this wonderful site is unimagiable. I thank all of you for your posts and valuable insite to this process. May all of you feel as good as I do today~! Lots of love. Lisa Open 2/11/04 Hernia/TT 11/22/04 456/255/shooting for the stars~!

Happy re-birthday to you!! I am also 1 year out (as of the 13th) I had my check up and the dr. says I've done great. I have lost 153 lbs. 1 year ago I was 321 pounds. I first set my goal at 150 but have since changed it to 160. I figure once I have my trunk lift I will loose the last 10 pounds. No sugar for me, Try to keep my protein atleast 60 g daily and my fluids atleast 64 oz daily. I need to be better with the exercise. Congrat's to you!!!!!!! Delainya 321/168/160

Topic: RE: PROTEIN AND CALORIE QUESTION
Hey, Craig! Sounds like you are doing a great job with your weight loss. I'm being told a pretty similar range in the protein and calorie intake from my doctor. Is there any danger in getting too much protein? And how much is too much? Don't you hate when someone answers a question with another question? I'll check back to see other responses. Denise

Topic: RE: Robbed this morning
Thanks for all the encouraging words. Today is much better; I refuse to let some crum ruin my daily routine so I was back in the same parking lot this morning picking up my dry cleaning. I've got way too much good in my life to let it get to me. After all, I lived 46 years without anything like it happening, so maybe I'm good for another 46 now. Love you all, Julie

Topic: PROTEIN AND CALORIE QUESTION
Hi All; I am 15 pounds from goal weight and 1 year out like us all and have lost 165 pounds. I am feeling great. My question is now I am trying to build some muscle and need to take in more protein and my surgeon is only saying 80 grams per day and 1300 calories per day. Is that what you are all being told? Let me know. Thanks you all. Craig

Hey Guy; Happy Birthday! Does not seem possible huh? I am sorry you are struggling right now, keep the chin up and remember that healthy is so much better. I am doing fine. I am down 160 pounds so far and only have like 15 more to go. Back at the gym after having incisional hernia repair in December. That was much worse than the bariatric! Oh my go**** hurt so bad. I am in a 34 pant now and share my partners' shirts. It has been a huge adjustment for him. We still should get together. Craig in Frisco
