Congratulations!!!!!!! You have done a fantastic job! Now tell me, how tall are you cause 240 in an 18/20 isn't a lot. I think I was that too but I am 5'11". Damn, a 4/6. Unbelievably great work.

Hi Julie,
My surgeon doesn't have much of a support system. Not like others. He also made me feel like I could fail. And I am not going to let that happen cause that means he wins.
Damnit, I am going to win this!!!
I am very careful of the foods I add in. Trying to keep them low carb and low fat. Hey, it's protein so how high carb can it be???

Thank you so much Mary. If there is anything I HATE HATE HATE, it is a man telling me I can't do something. That there is some fightin' words!
I just grew up with men and I had to prove myself equal. Funny, I feel like I have to prove to them but not women. I guess cause I already feel equal to women. But men naturally think (and if they don't now, either they will or have) that they are superior. Especially the younger men.
Funny what pushes buttons on people.

Topic: RE: Are you still losing?
I am losing but slowly. I weigh myself every week in order to help me maintain even though I still want to lose about 8 more pounds I am happy with my size. I need a tummy tuck though too much skin. But each week when I weigh myself I know how I will have to change what I did the week before in order to lose more weight especially if I gained that week.

Hey. Feb. 9 was one year for me. I had lost a total of 150lbs as of Dec 31. I had surgury (tailbone removal) on Jan3 and was not very active for a while. I was floating between 190-195 and i just figured that it was over. i had lost all of the weight that i was going to lose. I was just as happy as i could be. I went from a size 30\32 to a 12\14. Well, this past thursday i was 190. I have become more active since my surgury and picked up on my protien drinks. I weighed Sat 185lbs. I was shocked. Then i just about junped through the roof when i weighed Sunday and was at 180lb. I'm floating between 180-183. I went to the store yesterday and i bought a pair of jeans and a skirt in a size 10. A 10. I never would have thought that i would wear a 10. I squealed in the dressing room. That gave me so much motivation. My original personal goal was 175 but now i think i may want to go lower. Good luck to every one and God Bless.

Topic: a year today!!!
Hi everyone!
Sorry I haven't posted in FOREVER...but I have been swamped with school and life in general.
Today is my one year anniversary, and I am officially down 102 lbs. I have gone from 242 to 140, size 18/20 (barely breathing) to size 4/6. I still cannot believe this is ME!
My sister is now telling me that I am too skinny and need to gain some weight back...didn't think I would ever hear THAT one!!
Anyway, hope that every one is doing FANTASTIC, and good luck on your continuing journey. I will post again sooner than I have this time...I have just been a "lurker" and not taking time to post

I haven't lost anything since January 6th, but overall I'm down 106 pounds and think I may be as low (148) as I'm going to go.
I had my one year check up yesterday and the surgeon was pleased and had me talk with the dietician about weight maintenance.

Wow! I'm so sorry that your physician isn't more encouraging, but I'm glad to hear that you're going to advocate for yourself. I don't know if I could do 5 days, liquid only, but I'm impressed at your focus and drive.
It certainly sounds like it's working for you and maybe it will help kick-start your loss again and it will continue after you add in food.
Keep us posted!
