I am doing well! I will be 2.5 years post op on the 10th. I weigh once a month on my anniversary date. I thought I had gain so I weighed this week was up 1.5 so I went immediately into my protein and vegetable mode. I am pleased with the result thus far. I do have challenges as far as eating often and the fear of gaining weight.
Today for some reason I feel dizzy as though I have low blood sugar. I feel this from time to time but not as often as I did early on.
I hope and pray we all can maintain our new bodies and lifestyles.
Happy Friday!

Sarah,
I am doing the high protein (boot camp diet or plateau buster) and the scales are moving. AND it is down not up. Slow but sure.
Weigh****chers is a good program. Hal is a life time member. He found it was easy to count the points and he was satisfied with the food choices he made.
I'm working out in the pool almost daily, walking, and riding the stationary bike.
Keeping busy for sure.

Topic: its FRIDAY
hi everyone!!
Im back finally! It has been an insanely busy summer and I am now offically on break from school. I have started my workout routine and my diet (the plateau buster). I was @ 207 on monday. I also have been working at a barn where Im taking lessons twice a week and riding once a week. So hopefully I can get the scale moving in the right direction. I have 2 weddings and a reunion in sept and I wanna look good! Im still trying to convince my bf to join WW online and I would do it with him since his weight loss has been put on hold. Ive been fantastic about drinking all my water but not so good about my protein so thats my goal for this week. PROTEIN PROTEIN PROTEIN!!
how are you all??
MAry glad to see the scales movin for ya!!

Jill,
Of course will wish you luck, plus send many positive thoughts and prayers your way. You are going to do GREAT!!!!! Here's some mantras that helped me before surgery:
When I release my fears, I'm set free.
What would I do if I weren't afraid?
Focus on the positives of the surgery and all the benefits it will bring you. Don't dwell on your fears, but definitely talk them out if you need to.
You are going to be an active parent very, very soon. Your weight loss is AWESOME!!!!

Topic: Getting Knee Replacement Monday!
Hi,
I had my right knee total replacement last april and now am scheduled to have the left one done Monday!! I am really scared I have lost 200 pounds and feel better, but I don't walk my replace knee still hurts alot and I just have to much pain in the left to keep waiting. I am only 43 and will be bionic lol. I had some problems with the other one but it's a different doctor. My goal is to walk and attend my kids games ect. Not just sit on the couch or bed, I have done so well with weight loss so if I can get my knees good I will be happy.
Wish me luck!!!

Annette,
I'm here. Just checking in now. I think I finally have the scale moving downward again. I was up to 185 (from 174 a few months ago) and finally back to 180 so that is positive. I'm really trying to watch my intake and definitely am exercising every day.
Been a hectic week here.
Found a great jacket today on sale and it fit perfectly. How great is that!!!! Much more fun to buy clothes now than a couple of years ago. That's for sure.
Thanks for doing the thread today.

Topic: Friday check in!
Do I hear crickets? I feel as though I am alone out here in cyberworld. No one has been checking in on Fridays. Everyone must be out there living it up ! Hey can I go??? Well I hope everyone is having fun and reaching their weight loss goals in addition to other goals they set for themselves. I am doing well and not gaining weight but not losing either but as long as I am not gaining I will not complain. This week more walking, more protein and medication and vitamins.
Love you all!

Topic: RE: lOSING TOO MUCH WIEGHT
I had that same problem with people telling me that I look sick..."oh you are too thin are you ok?" I think some of these people are used to seeing us big and think that we couldn't actually get the weight off. I hope that you all find the answer on how to maintain without gaining the weight back. I am on a plateau now and wish I was a "loser" again.
