Topic: RE: I'm tired of ...(fill in the blank)
What a great way to vent!
I'm tired of:
Winter - ready to get outdoors!
High priced gas - no hope for a change there!
Work - need a LONG vacation - SOON
Exercising in-doors - ready to go for long walks outside
Dead grass and bare trees (I do have hyacinth blooming though!)
Sweaters and socks - ready for capri's and sandals.
I feel better already!

Winter! I look forward to warmer weather and a chance to wear some new duds I got last week!
I am tired of my husband being away. He was in combat training and had his shoulder dislocated last night. He wont be back for another month or so
I am tired of dealing with in laws
I am tired of my 5 year old lying to me and her dad about silly things
I am tired of having a backache
I am tired of being insulted "you are too thin, you look sick, you must be anorexic"
I am tired of being stabbed in the back at work (I am a nurse...very common...hospital administration almost encourages backbiting. Our leaders are all shallow backstabbers, too)
I am tired of being tired
I am tired of being a prisoner of food (how much, should I , shouldn't I), even to this day
I am tired of worrying about regain, and wondering if I will be fat again
Thanks for the vent. I do feel better

Okay, I'll play:
I'm tired of not having enough time to:
Clean my house like it should be
Sew
paint my kitchen (have had paint since Christmas)
of my messy van, because my children don't know how to pick up and take things into the house, trash, what ever. You know, you might not have wanted me to play today.
Other than that I'm thankful for a Gracious forgiving Father, and his son Jesus
Thankful for the most wonderful husband and
five healthy children ( you notice I didn't say wonderful. LOL) Seriously they are great, they just love to take advantage of Mom, but don't they all?
Hugs,
Debbie

HI Denise and all. How fun!
I'm tired of Winter and Snow.....
but I'm so happy with my new healthier life. Thankful for every ray of sunshine. Thankful for so many friends and family.
Thankful that I live 250 miles north of the horrible winter storm that just hit MN and WI. Some areas have received 8-12 inches of snow in this March madness. We got missed completely. Yahoo!
Guess I'm thankful for so much more than I'm tired of. What a neat change over my SMO days!
Have a wonderful weekend all!

Great timing as the winters blahs are doing me in.
I'm tired of.......
* Winter
* Gray skies - no sunshine
* Not having my house to myself (son & family have lived with us for 1 year while he finishes clinical rotations for pharmacy school)
* Dark clothes
* The bathroom wallpaper
* Saving for a new roof
* Students in my college classes who whine and don't want to do their homework
This was fun! I feel better already. Nothing helps as much as a good whine.

Denise ... what a fun idea ... allows us to whine a bit and still see the humor of it all:
I'm tired of:
living in a rental home while our new home is being built (only 54 more days to go until we have the keys)
being on a plateau (haven't lost any weight since November)
having a bad hair day
not being taller
But I am so happy that:
I had weight loss surgery.
I have a awesome husband and family.
We are building a new home with a pool/jacuzzi (a dream come true).
I have all of you for support.

Topic: RE: Plastic Surgery Consult...
Debbie,
I think it is a smart idea to do both surgeries at one time to only have to go thru recovery/healing once. I know many combined Hernia repair and TTs and it is so much easier that way.

Mary,
My policy does not cover plastic surgery, so I will be self pay. It is a costly venture, but I have been able to save most of it, and will have to finance about $2,000.00 of it. I was planning on having the TT in the summer of 06, but this unexpected hysterectomy made me have it this summer. I can't be out of commision two summers in a row. I figure I'll heal at one time.

Thanks Wanda, I will have an abdominal hysterectomy followed by a full TT on June 9th. I think it is 12 weeks away. I really need the time to get my house in order.

Delainya...I am so sorry you are having a difficult time. It is soo hard to deal with multiple stressors especially if you've been an emotional eater. It was plain mean for your fiance to leave on your birthday leaving you with no clue as to why he was leaving. Sounds like you can do better. As my dad would say there are more fish in the sea.
You have had a wonderful weight loss of 161 pounds. WOW. Congratulations. It's hard to believe that with such a great loss that insurance won't cover reconstruction of some type. How many plastic surgeons have you consulted. It doesn't hurt to have several consults and get different opinions. You just might need to pick the surgeon that can word things differently. Don't give up.
It is very difficult getting back on track. I have been struggling too. What upsets me is when friends/family are no longer supportive. They think that because my body is thinner that I have no problems any more. I'm the same person in a smaller body trying to learn how to cope without food. Will your insurance pay for counciling (sp) for eating disorders or inadequate coping?
I wish you well and hope that you can pull yourself back on track soon. Don't be afraid to ask for help by a professional. I think I am going to do the same.
Paula
