Wanda, I would be absolutely lost without my protein bars. Definitely can't do without them. It's been in the 80s and 90s already for a while in AZ so our pool is pretty good to swim in. We started using it a week ago. We will have to wait about a month before we can use the one at the new house as the pool will need to be finished and the landscaping completed. Mary

Denise, Just got back on-line this evening and saw your response. Wanted to send you some big hugs and LOTS of positive hugs to get you thru. You are going to do GREAT and be back home before you know it. I'm doing fairly well. I have my emotional ups and downs with mom passing just 2 weeks ago. It's been hard at times, but I know she just wasn't meant to be here with us in AZ. The house closes in 16 days. We are getting so excited and there is still much to do before closing. The house looks beautiful and I can't wait to get moved in and settled. Wishing your hubby the best too on his job search. Mary

Well finally after 9 years of knee pain in both knees, on Wednesday I am getting one knee replaced. I need to to the other one but, it will have to wait. I am way young at just turning 42 for this but they say I will do great. Cross your fingers for me I will have to check on it over the years because the parts wear out and might be by the time I am 60 or so. I have had such horrific pain and on pain meds for years that really didn't help only made my liver levels high. They have come down now from 1,200 to 29 so much safer. They said between the pain meds and rapid weight loss of 250 in a year caused a fatty liver for a while. I know it will take a long time to heal and I am a slow healer so im in for a paniful time. My stomach from the Gastric Bypass is still a little sore after 14 months. Well I just wanted to talk hope I didn't bore anyone but I am really, scared.

Hi Mary, well, now that you ask...I'm getting my gall bladder removed tomorrow. I've got some natural anxieties that go along with stuff like that. I hope to be home tomorrow night and back to myself in no time. In the meantime, I'm an emotional mess. I'm worrying about this procedure. Everything else is going pretty well. I'm hoping to get pregnant this year. I finally was able to help my daughter to be potty trained. My husband is looking for a new job. I met Lee, a sister from this board. What a sweetie! Sounds like you are doing well, despite the recent loss of your mom. How's the house? Who's next? Denise

Hey, Mary.... Weight loss has been real slow going here lately. I've dropped about one pound a month the last few months. Even though the scales are moving so slowly, my body is still shrinking. I went shopping this weekend and actually fit into a few size 10 slacks/tops (of course, they had elastic in the waist). Size 12 seems to be my size right now. I've been real good here lately about staying away from carbs and what I call junk. I ran out of my protein powder a few weeks ago and did not order any until last week. I truly missed it! I can't believe I actually enjoy those darned shakes! I haven't been exercising the way I really should here lately. The weather has been so beautiful that I've been working on the lawn the past few weeks. We even opened the pool a few weeks ago. Can't wait till the water is warm enough to swim. I think us Februarians are to the point where we are having to work really hard to either lose the last little bit or maintain. This must be what "the skinny people" have been doing all along! Have fun swimming and walking Millie! Wanda

The board has slowed down a bit this last month. How are all of you doing? I kind of went on an emotional tail spin the last couple of weeks and am now working hard to get back on track. Today I went thru the cupboards and fridge and got rid of anything I really shouldn't have (like crackers etc) and Hal normally wouldn't eat. This way it will get rid of some of the trigger foods for me. Have been exercising daily, using the outdoor pool in our complex the last week, walking too. Millie loves going for the daily walks. It has been frustrating that I haven't lost any weight since November. I know part of it is eating more carbs than I should. I want to break this plateau so badly. Mary

Hi, My weight loss has basically stopped. I gained a few pounds right after Thanksgiving. I didn't know that I was severly anemic, but that weight dropped off within a couple of days of my first iron infusion. Now, I'm finding that I have non stop munchies. I'm on Lupron injections, and that has put me into chemical menopause. I imagine it is all going hand in hand. I need to get control of my munchies. I'm having my hysterectomy and TT in 7 weeks. I hope the TT will jumpstart my weight loss again, but to be honest I'm happy where I am. I don't have too much saggy skin, other than my tummy and I look and feel normal. I hope you continue to loose, if you choose to. Good luck. Debbie
