Hi Mary- Sorry to hear those popsicles did such a nasty thing to ya. Guess we learn the hard way sometimes, don't we? My thing is any concentrated fruit...raisins in particular...and I love them. I can eat grapes but gracious! how sick I can get if those grapes have been dried up and turned into raisins. Am so envious that you can have WLS friends over to your pool. Swimming sounds great to me (105 degrees today with a grass fire in the neighborhood). Please tell them all "hi." We'll be in Tucson in August...got room in that pool for me then? Cheers, Rusty

Hi Linn- I've got a hubby with the opposite reaction to my eating. I travel a lot this summer with my job and he calls me every day, asking if I'm eating enough! I've maintained the same weight now for about 6 months and think my body has found its "home." I pay attention to its signals (hiccups every time I'm full!) and eat what I need to. But he frets and fusses. He tells me I was fine before and am plenty small now too. I listen to my body and let him fret...I simply don't listen. It's my body and I am the one who has to eat or not eat. If you're happy with yourself, you're fine. I have a flabby tummy too but I can live with it...much much better than when I was fat. Cheers, Rusty 260/130 size 24/size 4

Debbie, that is great (sorry to hear about the hernia tho). Your mom sounds like a wonderful lady --- so nice of her to help you out. Mary

Linn, I'm not at goal yet, but am down 130 lbs total. Yes, there are days I feel really skinny and other days I feel fat. Sometimes I think it is result of our mental images and thoughts. Yesterday I bought a size MED addidas shorts and they fit perfectly. I was on cloud nine. Then last night I did measurements and realized I had gained 2 inches in my arms and legs total. I was so bummed even when I know that it is because of all the time in the pool and is muscle I am gaining. It is strange the tricks our minds can play on us. Have more to write but severe thunderstorm headed our way so want to get off the computer ASAP. Mary

Oh my--my skin is sooooo gross, so far past yucky it is not even funny. No insurance payment for the old bat wings. ($4,000.00) I had taken a 2nd job at a local grocery store earlier this year & saved up enough money for the arm surgery. In May my husband was laid off from his job after 25 years & I had to use the saved money for bills. My Mom (who is my best friend) offered me the money for my arms. Of course I jumped at it. My Mom is the greatest. The PS said about 6lbs of skin & fat off the belly & about 1 1/2 lbs off each arm. I will post again after the surger & give all the details. Debbie

Hi Debbie, How exciting for you. Sept 6 is right around the corner. Just curious, will your insurance pay for the "bat wings" removal? Did the doc give you an idea of how much weight this excess skin removal will take off? You know, it's like plastic surgery is your reward at this stage of your weight loss journey. 155 pounds and 109 inches off your frame is awesome. Now the surgeon can perfect those areas of yucky skin (sorry if your skin is not yucky!) and maybe get you into a size 6??? I pray that your surgery goes as planned and that you have the result you desired. Paula

I went for my last consultation with my plastic surgeon today. My surgery date is September 6th. I am scheduled for a hernia repair, tummy tuck & brachioplasty. ( bat wings removed) I haven't lost any weight in the lat 3 months, so I guess I am through. Very happy in a size 8/10--just ready to get this dang belly flap gone. It's very hard to pack all that into a size 10 jeans. (WATCH THAT ZIPPER) LOL Debbie -155 lbs & 109"

Wanda, Not that I need validation, but I guess I need validation that my thoughts aren't that unusual. I can also remember feeling skinny a while back also, but I sure don't anymore. I've been where I am for quite a while now, so this feels normal, not small. I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd see a 6. I was hoping for an 8, so I'm actually pretty lucky. Just wish I could convince myself more often. Linn
