Good morning, good morning .... yikes, you were up at 4:30 am!!!!!!!!! Way too early for me. I did get up at 6:30 am cause we have someone coming this morning. Even the dog said it was too early to be up and curled up and went back to sleep!!! LOL I forgot to weigh this morning ... how's that for strange. I can't believe I forgot. I didn't even think of it until you mentioned weighing in. I did pretty well this week. Exercise is right on target. Vitamins are not. I'm still having issues with them. Also hunger is a real problem for me. Yesterday I made snow cones to have crunch, sweet and something to fill me up. No calories. I don't know why I am having such a problem right now with wanting to eat, eat, eat. I'm not going overboard, I'm not gaining but I'm not losing either. It has been a bit stressful this week. My niece had WLS on Tuesday and I have been worried about her. She did great. They were able to do lap and she was home the very next morning. Hope everyone else had a great week. Mary

Hi Mary. Just wanted to share with you how I remember to take my vitamins everyday. I have a plastic pill container that has each day of the week on it. I put my vitamins in for the week and leave the container next to the toothpaste. In the morning, after I brush my teeth, I take my calcium and B12. In the evenings, after brushing, I take my multi-vitamin. If it weren't for doing this, I'd probably forget to take my vitamins also. Take care.......Wanda

I'm a unique individual when it comes to vitamins. I have a intolerance to the fillers that are used in most over the counter vitamins and it actually makes me ill (upset stomach, not feeling right etc.). I've had the problem for years and it is not related to WLS at all. Years ago I was watching QVC and heard Andrew Lessman speak about his vitamins. There were no fillers, additives etc used. He was telling about case after case of individuals who had the exact same symptoms as me that were able to take his vitamins with no problem. QVC had a 30 day money back quarantee so I figured I would try them. I didn't have one bit of problems with them and have taken them daily for years. My surgeon and dietitian said they were fine for me to take after WLS. These vitamin capsules could be opened and dissolved in water, mixed with food, taken normally (I check with the manufacturer before doing this) so even could use them as a fairly new post-op. (NOTE: he no longer sells on QVC, but does sell on HSN and on his website). About a year ago, Andrew added in vitamin E and omega oils etc that gave the packet 3 liquid vitamins in a capsule and the 3 dry capsules. Sometimes the liquid capsules smell like fish oil and/or have an aftertaste. It causes me to have a queasy stomach so I know that is why I am forgetting to take them. I wrote the company this week and they are revising the formula so that there will be no fish smell nor aftertaste. It will take a few months for this to happen. They have had numerous complaints about it. What I need to do is take the dry portion of the vitamins as it is the original formula that I took for years. Most people don't have a problem with the new formula, but I do. Once they do the new ones, I will order them. They are good quality vitamins and work for me. Here's a link to his website: yourvitamins.com (add http://www. to the beginning) So my regime would be: 1 packet multi-vitamins (6 capsules) 1 sublinqual B12/Folic Acid/B6 from Trader Joes Mary

Yea, Sarah Minus .5 pounds is headed in the right direction!!! I weighed 182.3 this morning, so I'm headed in the right direction also. I've been getting my water in great and did walk twice this week. I'm leaving for the Smokey Mountains on Sunday (for work) and will be there until Thursday, so this week, I vow to carry a water bottle around with me at all times during the conference and get my walking in. I plan on visiting the park and there a alot of trails.... so I have NO EXCUSE not to! I'm also going to take my protein (cheese, turkey pepperoni, imitation crab meat and protein bars) with me since my hotel room will have a small fridge and micro-wave. Everyone have a great week! Wanda, You are doing GREAT!!!!! Sounds like you have really thought out the week of being away from home. That is fantastic. I really like the rooms that have a fridge and micro. It sure helps us to stay on track. Hope you have a wonderful week. Mary
