2 yrs!!
Its my rebirthday today everyone and I have vowed to do the following:
-re-giveup sugar; its become my enemy again and its only going to hurt me in the long run. I hate artifical sweetner but its just gonna have to do
- stop drinking coffee; this one is going to take awhile seeing as how I miss a day I have the worst headache of my life and feel hungover the next day...Ive already reduced the amt I drink so I am off to a good start
-exercise for 30 mins a day minimum; I usually exercise 5 days a week but if I can just one for that much each day and then do whatever else I want the other days, I should be good to go.
-protein first and no drinking with meals; just getting back to basics...
This is gonna be hard but I have let myself down by putting weight back on and I am determined more than ever to being comfortable in my own skin again...
Happy birthday to me and to everyone else!
Im glad we still talk two years later and I couldnt ask for a better group for suport!! Love ya!

Sarah,
We are right here supporting you on .... you can do this!!! Be proud too of all that you have accomplished so far, you've come a long way and have done well.
Have you tried Splenda as a sweetener? I really like it. Even my husband will eat things with Splenda in it. I use it to sweetened berries etc. Even made banana bread over the holidays with it and chocolate chip cookies (they were for the neighbors not us) using Splenda and every one raved. It is equal in measurement to sugar so 1 cup sugar is 1 cup Splenda in a recipe.
Hal use to get awful migraine headaches from caffeine on the weekends (he didn't drink coffee except at work). He slowly got caffeine out of his system starting with 1/4 decaf to 3/4 reg, then 1/2 to 1/2, then 3/4 decaf to 1/4 reg, then 100% decaf. Did each a week at a time. Remember that caffeine can increase hunger, cause dehydration, leach calcium from our bones, and irritate the tummy's lining.
Getting back to basics is a GREAT way to get back on track and back in charge of your good health. I'm so proud of you.
