Does anybody stay cold all the time?

Just wondering if anybody stays cold all the time now. My hands are always freezing! Even if I wear gloves. Is this normal? I find myself sitting on my hands to warm them up and that helps, but you can't sit on your hands all the time! Any suggestions would be appreciated. Wanda

Yes it's amazing, everyone thinks I am crazy that I am cold and they are not. Wonder if it's all the weight loss, well it's a problem that I can live in exchange to be thin. I wear gloves and use blankets. Keep Warm!

I have had this problem for quite some time..and it's normal. Think of it this way.. we've lost our insulation! Which is good, but we lose heat quickly. I spend most evening under an electric blanket, and in 2 pairs of clothes..typically a pair of longjohns covered with sweats. It's a small price to pay, but can be frustrating through the daytime. I work in a pediatric clinic, and I know that I must freeze the tykes to death at times with my cold hands!

Thanks for the replies Jill and April! Its good to know I'm not an odd-ball. Sometimes, my hands get so cold I can barely move my fingers. Like you said, it is a small price to pay for our healthier selves! Wanda

Sarah, I never thought about using compression stockings. Wonder how that works? I might ask my doctor about that next time I see her. Thanks.......Wanda

LOL; at the office now, I'm "one of the girls"; it used to be just the women in the office that were cold - most of the men (including me) were fine. I find that post-op I notice a lot more when it's cool, and that's even with the just 100 lb weight loss I've had.

Nick......... you cracked me up with the "one of the girls" comment. I can just see you trying to be one of the guys walking around with your sweater on, rubbing your hands together trying to keep them warm. Thanks for the laugh! Wanda

Wanda, The last month I have noticed that I am much colder than ever before. We just got back from a cruise to Mexico, it was so nice to be really warm in Acupulco (in the 90s there). But when we got back to San Diego, we went to the zoo and didn't take jackets. I was freezing. Finally had to go buy a fleece jacket at the gift shop. The weird thing is that my feet aren't cold, it is my upper body especially my back and arms. Mary
