PS Anyone?
I just had an anchor-cut panniculectomy 3 weeks ago and have been wondering about all of my February siblings.
I was just generally curious if very many of us Feb. '04 graduates are at this point of the journey...being so close to our 2 year anniversary and all. Most of our weight loss should be stabilizing or slowing down and that is the point where most people consider ps options.
Have you already gone through a ps procedure?
If not, are you considering it?
If yes:
are you happy with the results?
would you like to have more?
Thanks for anyone *****plies,
Dorothy
Dorothy,
No plastic surgery for me. I still have some more weight I would like to lose (altho I am at my surgeon's goal for me) as I'm only 5'2" and 174 lbs right now.
I have thought about PS, but not sure that I will ever do it. I do have excess skin, but so far I can deal with it. Maybe if I was at a normal BMI then maybe. Just not sure at this point.

Thanks for replying Mary,
You have done a wonderful job with your journey and have lost weight steadily and for a long period of time starting pre-op...the way that it is recommended to allow your skin to adjust. You may not end up with too much loose skin when you get to normal BMI. I admire your strong efforts and the support you give here.
Have a wonderful holiday season Mary,
Dorothy
Hello Dorothy,
I have about 30 more pounds I'd like to lose before I have PS. Maybe by the summer I will seriously look into it. The weight is still comming off at about 1 to 2 pounds a week but I watch everything I eat and if I do eat a goodie or two I am walking an extra few miles and excercising my butt off. How are you doing? Are you happy with the results of your PS?I have loss 182 pounds so far and need a tummy tuck , so I am curious about the pain afterwards?
Take Care Trish
Hi Dorothy,
I had ps just over a month ago. I wish I could have waited to lose some more weight, but since it was covered by insurance, I had to do it. I did add a TT onto the panni removal and I am amazed at the results so far. I didnt realize how big my thighs were until I could see them!! I lost 15 lbs from that and have hit a plataue again. Oh well. I am down 230 total, so I am still very happy with that. My ps told me to loose as much as possible before I go in to have breast lift and thigh lift. Hope your recovery was as uneventful as mine!!
Happy Holidays!
