Has this happen to you?
Hello Everyone,
Yesterday after returning from a check up,where I was told I am doing great.I sat down to watch a movie with my kids an in a matter of seconds I had spots before my eye's ,I broke out into a sweat, had a 102 temp and felt very weak. All i could do is go to my bed an sip a lil water an fell asleep. When I woke an hour later other than feeling weak I was fine.
This is the second time this has happen to me in three months. I thought the first time might be a fluke , that I ate something that didnt agree with me ect.. Now however I am starting to wonder because this time it was worse than the first time. Has anyone experienced anything like this? An if so what caused it? Thanks for all your support again.
Take care Trish
Hi Trish,
Could this be how you dump? What had you eaten in the half hour prior to the episode? Have you had your thyroid and blood sugar checked recently? I would ask your doc on Monday if she could order those tests.
Hope you find out soon what the problem is and that it can be resolved easily.
Best wishes to you,
Paula
Hello Paula,
I had eaten a small salad no dressing.I still dump sometimes and it isnt the same.I thought it was the first time it happen but not sure so I will go see my doc again tomorrow an be poked. My blood sugar has been low this past year but nothing to be concerned with or I am sure she'd a mentioned it to me at my last check up.To be on the safe side I am gonna ask her.Thanks.
Take care Trish
Trish,
Sorry its taken me so long to respond. The last 4 or 5 days have been a whirlwind for me and I haven't been checking in like I usually do.
The only thing you describe that sounds like a migraine is seeing spots. I get a migraine at least once a month (during that time of the month) and it always starts out with me seeing spots. I take prescription medication that usually knocks it out. If I didn't have that medication, my headache would last 2 or 3 days. I've never had a fever with my headache; but that doesn't mean it can't happen.
I sure hope you find out what is wrong. The fever worries me. I always thought fever meant infection of some kind. I could be wrong... I have absolutely no medical background so I'm not really the person who should be giving advice.
Please let us know what you find out.
