I went for my last consultation with my plastic surgeon today. My surgery date is September 6th. I am scheduled for a hernia repair, tummy tuck & brachioplasty. ( bat wings removed) I haven't lost any weight in the lat 3 months, so I guess I am through. Very happy in a size 8/10--just ready to get this dang belly flap gone. It's very hard to pack all that into a size 10 jeans. (WATCH THAT ZIPPER) LOL Debbie -155 lbs & 109"

Hi Debbie, How exciting for you. Sept 6 is right around the corner. Just curious, will your insurance pay for the "bat wings" removal? Did the doc give you an idea of how much weight this excess skin removal will take off? You know, it's like plastic surgery is your reward at this stage of your weight loss journey. 155 pounds and 109 inches off your frame is awesome. Now the surgeon can perfect those areas of yucky skin (sorry if your skin is not yucky!) and maybe get you into a size 6??? I pray that your surgery goes as planned and that you have the result you desired. Paula

Oh my--my skin is sooooo gross, so far past yucky it is not even funny. No insurance payment for the old bat wings. ($4,000.00) I had taken a 2nd job at a local grocery store earlier this year & saved up enough money for the arm surgery. In May my husband was laid off from his job after 25 years & I had to use the saved money for bills. My Mom (who is my best friend) offered me the money for my arms. Of course I jumped at it. My Mom is the greatest. The PS said about 6lbs of skin & fat off the belly & about 1 1/2 lbs off each arm. I will post again after the surger & give all the details. Debbie

What a wonderful mom you have, so supportive and understanding. She saw how important this ps was to you b/c you took on the second job. Bless you and her. I loved to read she is your best friend. I didn't have that kind of relationship with my own mother, although I tried and tried. My own daughter (age 30 ) and I are very close and I treasure that special relationship. I know what you mean about GROSS hanging "stuff". Getting rid of 9 pounds of the stuff will be soo uplifting (so to speak!!). I won't wear shorts out of the house this year because the thigh "stuff" hangs to below the side of my knees. Yucky yuck. Take care, Paula

Debbie, that is great (sorry to hear about the hernia tho). Your mom sounds like a wonderful lady --- so nice of her to help you out. Mary

Best wishes on your surgeries. I'll be 7 weeks post op tomorrow and am doing most everything I normally do. I'm still sore a little in my abs, and the incision line is numb for the most part. I look forward to hearing how your brachioplasty goes. I don't know if I will have anymore ps, but have some thoughts in the back of mind for improvment. LOL Debbie
