I visited my plastic surgeon about 2 months ago. We have been waiting for my new health insurance to kick in. It did as of July 1. The nurse informed me that the dr. did indeed code my surgery as reconstructive. I am looking at having a midsection tuck and excess skin removed from my legs. I have lost a total of 171 pounds, I bounce with the last 5 pounds. I must admit I am more nervous about the plastic surgery than I was about the gastric bypass. Oh well. Just wanted to check in and find out if anyone else has had these surgeries and what was it like? Wish me luck. Thanks Delainya 321/151 at goal(For now)

You are one of the lucky ones to get approved. Good luck on the day of your surgery and let us know how your progress is going once you get out of the hospital and are able to type. Let us know when the big day is. I will keep you in my thoughts. Annette 291/157

Great that you are approved for your surgery (PS). That is wonderful. I still have a ways to go to get to goal and at this point not sure that I will do PS at all. I definitely understand having it done. A couple of my friends went thru PS and love the results. Wishing you the best. Mary

I've had a consult, but nothing else yet. I can't even get in to surgery until October, and that's just too late in the year for me. My mom and I are going to do a half marathon in January and I won't have time to train. I'll have to wait until later in Jan or early Feb. I'll be interested in hearing about your experiences with PS, so please keep us informed! Linn

You girls just amaze me with your weight losses. You have done such a incredible job. I was more nervous with my TT and Hysterectomy than I was with my gastric bypass. I suppose I was at the end of my rope and I knew I needed to have it done to live a long and healthier life. I felt that I was putting myself into jeopardy with the elective TT. I survived and you shall too. It is a very painful recovery, well at least for the first week or two, and then not so fun discomfort. Good luck on your insurance approval. Debbie

Delainya, I'm so thrilled for you and wishing you the best with your PS. I have next to zilch knowledge about plastic surgery, so I can't help you there. Just want you to know my thoughts are with you. Please let us know when your surgery is scheduled and how you're doing! BTW: You look great!!!! Wanda
