I am simply amazed!! I really don't want to lose another pound because I am already well ~BELOW~ my goal weight already. Only to find that I have dropped another 5 POUNDS per my scale when I weighed this Saturday!! I weigh myself twice a month instead of every week when I was trying to goal! Question is when do you "STOP" losing weight? Maybe I FINE TUNED MY TOOL too much!! Alicia~The Prettiest "DIVA" Kitty Open RNY 02/12/2004 (280 LBS Morning Of Surgery) Down -145 Pounds

I know at least one other person that has this problem; but she's to the point of being WAY too skinny (medically, not just opinion). You have to fine tune the other way; add enough to maintain, but not gain, to your food list and 'habits' that you've developed. It can be hard, from a few different standpoints - 1) most of us "don't want to gain it back", therefore may be hesitant to add food back into our diet. 2) You have to actually eat more, when you've trained your body AND head to not want more 3) You have to balance how much more you eat with exercise to make sure that you don't 'exercise it all off' They say your body should stop about 24 months out, and adjust to the 'new process/guts' for most people. But, there are always exceptions for every rule Good luck

Hi Alicia I had my surgery on 2/11 and was 281 on the day of surgery and today I have also dropped 145 pounds!!! And I don't feel like my body is done yet but I am liking the way I look. I am hoping my body will stop at a natural point sometime soon. How tall are you? I just thought it was an interesting coincidence that we have such similiar stats. Hopefully someone will have a good answer to your question. Best Wishes -Michelle S.

Some people have to add in carbs and calories to maintain their weight and stop losing. Try adding a few in, if still losing add a few more. It is a balance but doable for most. If you continue to lose weight even with adding in carbs and more calories, definitely see your doctor/nutritionist. Congratulations on your wonderful success. Mary

Alicia, I don't really have any better advice for you, but I've been at the same weight since 10 months out and the same size for the past 5. All I can say is that I adjust the amounts I eat a day according to my activity. The days I run I tend to eat about 5 meals. The days I don't, I generally only eat 2-3 times. If I'm doing harder work, I do eat more than if I'm vegging at home. Some of this is planned, and some I just either know I need to eat or that I'm not hungry because I haven't used up much energy that day. I thought I'd go a little lower in my weight (I'm consistently right around 150), but even with all the running I do, I haven't. That tells me I'm probably where I'm intended to be. In your case, your body might not be at what it considers ideal yet. I really do have a large frame, and this weight fits me well. I think you look absolutely beautiful right where you are, but I don't live in your body. Think long and hard about where you are now and where you want to be and what is healthy for you. Then maybe consult a dietician or nutritionist and see what sorts of foods you should add to keep from losing more weight. My first suggestion would be to add in some extra nuts and fruits. Linn
