We did the walk thru on our new home yesterday and then drove up to the title company to sign papers and make the down payment. WHEW, what a day. So exciting and yet so draining too. The loan will fund on Tuesday then the keys will be ours on Wednesday morning. Can't wait to get moved in and settled. This last year has been a year of dreams coming true. I had my surgery, I'm now thinner than I was in junior high school, Hal & I made a major move from CA to AZ, and we have built a new home!!! Truly feel blessed. It will take a couple of weeks for the pool to be finished and then the landscaping can be completed too. It is going to be fun to watch the changes and so nice to have the pool in the backyard with the summer heat coming very, very soon. It was in the low 90s today. We've been wearing shorts for a couple of weeks now almost daily. Hope you all have a great weekend. Happy Mother's Day too to all the moms out there. Hugs, Mary

Mary - Congrats on the new house!!! Glad everything's finally coming together. I rent, so I haven't been through it, but I know a lot of people who have built, and the waiting can be maddening. ...Nick

Nick, Thank you. We have been so lucky to have such a great builder *****ally cares about their clients. We were told when our house would be completed and they have stuck to that date. Another friend had a different builder (different community) and has been given a closing date 5 different times so far. They bought their home 2 months before us. Her home looks wonderful, but I know it is frustrating for her. Mary

Mary that is so exciting. I would love to see pictures of your new home. I can't imagine low 90's and it isn't hot yet. Sigh... We had high 80's and I consider that getting hot to me. I just imagine your place will be so lovely with the pool. You have had an exciting year. Hugs, Debbie

Debbie, Thanks for much. It is amazing how quickly we have adapted to the heat here. Luckily we lived in CA for years and in the valley where it was not unusal for it to be in the 90s (or more) in the summer. There is less humidity here and that does help. With a pool in the back yard I know that will help make it even better. Told Hal if he had to look for me, to check the pool first!!!! LOL Altho a couple of negatives this last year, we really have had so many positives and feel truly blessed. Mary
