Uh Hmm, it is almost Mother's Day. :)
What are your plans for this weekend?
We have ball games, and a long list of things to do. I have asked that my family buy me a big flat of impatiens, and plant them for me. I don't need much, and feel guilty for spending so much money on myself for my upcoming surgery. I know, I'm worth it. After all, I did bring 5 beautiful babies into this world.
I'm sure we will go out to eat or grill after Church, or even Saturday, as Sunday's are so busy for us.
Have a Blessed Day,
Debbie
We celebrated Mother's Day this last Sunday since my husband and I are leaving Friday for Mountain Home, Arkansas. We're celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary by getting some R&R (fishing, site-seeing and enjoying each other).
We had my mother-in-law over and Mark and the girls grilled chicken for us. The girls each gave me a hanging plant (Fuscia). I'm so glad Mother's Day falls this time of year. They always buy me something to plant/put outside that will come back each year. I can stroll around my yard and tell you which girl bought me which plant.
Hope everyone has a great mother's day. I know there are quite a few of us whose mothers are no longer with us, so the day will be bittersweet, sad but happy with memories.
Take care....Wanda
This Mother's Day will be sad for me since my mom just recently died and I'm still emotional at the drop of a hat.
I asked my son Scott for $8,000 to pay for a face lift as a Mother's Day gift. My kids never know when to take me seriously. All of a sudden the phone line was quiet as he was wondering how to reply!! You've got to love them. Even when they are 30 they still have some of their cute mannerisms from childhood.
Have a wonderful, love filled Mother's Day with your families.
