Okay, I guess I'm bored today. It is raining here. What is your favorite thing to do with your *leisure* time, or what do you do for a hobby? I love to smock, sew, embroider, but don't have enough time to do that, and I love to watch HGTV for decorating advice. Favorite show is Divine Design. Debbie

Debbie, Sending you some AZ sunshine your way. It is a beautiful day here and is suppose to get up to 86 degrees. In our free time we do a lot of exploring of the area --- museums, parks, zoo, botanical gardens, events, or just going for a ride. One of our biggest passtimes over the last 9 months has been watching our new home being built. We are now almost to the finish line (11 days) and can't wait to move in. I love doing machine embroidery, decorative painting, crocheting, latch hook etc. I'm a very craftsy person. My mom encouraged it when we were children and it has grown from there. I love HGTV. So many wonderful shows. Mary

Hmmm.... This is a tough one for me. I don't do crafts, though I think I would enjoy doing many types of crafts. I think what my problem is, is that by the time I get home from work, get supper ready, straighten the house and do yard work (during the spring, summer and fall) and help my high schooler study, I'm too tuckered out to do much else. During the weekend, I'm usually cleaning house and grocery shopping on Saturday, and Sunday is church in the mornings and getting together with family later. Now during the summer, I clean house and grocery shop throughout the week so that I can lounge around the pool all day Saturday (yes, I know..... there's something wrong with me... I just can't justify lounging around the pool if something needs to be done inside), and family usually comes over Sunday to swim and grill out. I do love to watch shows like Trading Spaces and the HGTV channel. I have to get decorating ideas because I have absolutely no talent when it comes to thinking of a decorating idea on my own. Oh, I just though of something..... I love to read! I usually have a book around at all times. There... I do have a leisure time activity. I was beginning to worry! Sorry so long winded.... Wanda

Wanda, we really should make plans to meet. TN and IN aren't that far apart and we've mu*****ommon. * Our daughters are close in age * We're both married to non-dancing men (you 23 years; me 25 years) * We're about the same size and age * I also like crafts, but can't seem to find the time to get it done. * I'd love to have my pool back (lost it when we moved) * I need to get ideas from other sources as I'm not independently creative * and last but not least, I LOVE to read.

Julia, we do have a lot in common and I would love to meet you! I noticed something else that we have in common... we both have short hair and our hair has just enough natural curl to be dangerous. Lets really try to get together sometime. That would be so much fun! Wanda

According to Rand McNally, I'm 236 miles from Lousivlle, 411 from Chattanooga and 598 from Memphis. Do any of those put you half way? If not, make a suggestion. I know little about Kentucky or Tennessee (which is awful since my brother and sister-in-law moved to just outside of Nashville about 8 months ago).

Check your e-mail. I sent you something earlier. I live just outside of Memphis, which is in the southwest corner of Tennessee.

I told my husband that Memphis would be a great place to live. I haven't been there, but was looking at the map. It is centrally located between several southern states. He went there to look at a bus for our Church, and said the part he visited was beautiful. Debbie
