It's Almost Here
Well finally after 9 years of knee pain in both knees, on Wednesday I am getting one knee replaced. I need to to the other one but, it will have to wait. I am way young at just turning 42 for this but they say I will do great. Cross your fingers for me I will have to check on it over the years because the parts wear out and might be by the time I am 60 or so. I have had such horrific pain and on pain meds for years that really didn't help only made my liver levels high. They have come down now from 1,200 to 29 so much safer. They said between the pain meds and rapid weight loss of 250 in a year caused a fatty liver for a while. I know it will take a long time to heal and I am a slow healer so im in for a paniful time. My stomach from the Gastric Bypass is still a little sore after 14 months.
Well I just wanted to talk hope I didn't bore anyone but I am really, scared.
You'll do great. I used to work on the Orthopedic floor of the hospital and knee replacement is wonderful; it literally gives people their life back.
My mom had one done about a year ago and she's pain free now and so glad now that she did. Recovery can be a little slow, so give yourself time and be patient.
