A couple of days ago I started the "I'm tired of... thread". Now let's try something more positive. It's so great when... My daughter tells me she loves me, just because My daughter sings using all the wrong words People praise my cooking, housekeeping and child-rearing I get a few hours alone in my house I get to buy shoes I don't have to worry about money My husband looks at me in that certain way I'm not the largest woman in a room full of people I can sit in any chair and cross my legs. Have fun Denise

It's so great when... My children tell me they love me, even the grown ones. It is great to be a *normal* size It is great that I feel comfortable to join in activities It is great that I no longer have my co morbidities It is great to be getting our finances in order finally It is great to find money in a coat pocket from last year. It is great to have a husband who thinks I hung the moon. It is great that 4 of our five children have accepted Christ The list can go on and on. I suppose, or I know my blessings far out weigh the negatives in my life. Debbie

It's so great when.... - I sometimes find when I get home from work that my 18 year old has prepared supper AND emptied the dishwasher already. -my oldest who is off at college calls to tell me she's been asked to join the honors psychology club....and she's actually considering it. -my little first graders that I teach on Sunday mornings can really recite their prayers that I've been teaching them all year. -I get that unexpected hug and kiss from my husband at the most unusual time. -I'm truly comfortable in no matter what I wear. -I've just finished working out and decide that instead of a quick shower, I'm going to have a long, hot soak in the tub and treat myself with the jets going full-blast (very rare since I'm the one who clean's the darned thing!) Have a great day! Wanda

My daughter rests her head on me, and hugs me My husband holds me close, looks into my eyes and tells me he loves me My sister and I get along! We are so much alike, sometimes we get on each other's nerves I have a road trip coming up to NY, to spend Easter weekend with family You go to a store, and everything is too BIG Having a choice between a size 4 and a size 2 You find the Korean massage ladies at the mall when your back is killing you! (Ten dollars per 10 minutes) After a good workout, every muscle in your body responds to that hot shower! You know you can fly on any airline, and not worry about the seat being too small You attract attention from the opposite sex, and it is not to make fun of your size! You wake up healthy, to live another day Your warm fuzzy robe and SF Cocoa keep you toasty warm! Andrea

Its so great when.... -The scale moves down another pond. -My husband brings me home some flowers. -My son does somthing to make me proud. -I get to go shopping in normal stores. -My husband tells me I look "Hot!" -I send off my tax return and the anticipation of the check coming in the mail. -I have time to sit down and read all the posts and reply to some of them on this board. -I have time to sit in a bath with a good book and some candles (undisterbed). -My Mom gives me a call and we talk for an hour and I cant remember what we talked about, but its nice to hear her voice. -Old friends call just to say Hi. -my son give me a big hug for no reason. This list could just go on and on, but I will stop and let someone else have a turn Lee

It's so great .... ...when my husband tells me I'm as beautful to him now as when we met 27 years ago (his eyes are going bad..but it sounds good) ...when my daughter tells me she can't wait to come home (from college...) ...when my grandaughter snuggles with me and we read together ...when my 6 week old grandson falls asleep in my arms ...to be making plans to watch my son graduate pharmacy school next month ...to have a daughter-in-law who loves me (and I love her!) ...a parent of one of my 3rd grade Sunday school students thanks me for making it a class her daughter loves to attend ...when Easter services (and spring!) are just around the corner. ...to be shopping in gardening catalogs, planning the summer flowers ...to not be dreading summer clothes and bathing suits ...to be loved and to have others to love ...to be going to the tanning bed ...to still dump if I eat too much sugar or if I eat too fast (It's a good reminder and I'm grateful) ...to be content with my weight and my body (all but the boobs!) Wow...so many things and many more yet to be counted.

It's so great when.... I fit in a chair that I would never had tried when MO I get weighed at the doctor's office My daughter has 3 paychecks in a month (3 Tues) and we have a little extra My SSI arrives and I feel like I am contributing My friends continue to include me in nursing conferences My daughter comes home from work b/c all the animals are excited, the dogs jump around, the birds yell Sheri, or Guess who's here - Sheri, or give a long, loud wolf whistle I uncover the birds in the am and they all say Hi in their sleepy voices on their night time perches I have to buy new jeans in the next smaller size as an incentive to keep on losing They finally finished putting 1 1/2" lifts on a pair of Birkenstock's and a pair of walking SAS - now I am somwhat level and able to walk with just a small limp I get to see Tyler Jaden my 10 month old grandson (they live 250 miles from me) I am able to sit in the car for a long car ride without pain thanks to my wonderful pain clinic doc, Dr. Work I think how Dr. Work in the pain clinic is so knowledgeable about fibromyalgia and is supportive in dealing with pain on an individual basis. My pain on a scale of 0-10 (low-high) had been 8-10 for 24/7 for about 6 years. He changed my meds and I had relief within 48 hours. Pain now is 2-6 and my quality of life has changed dramatically. They take my blood pressure and it is 110/70 I think how wonderful that I had a daughter who stepped up to the plate when I became disabled and had to quit my job as a Family Nurse Practitioner. We bought a home together and take care of each other and blend her paychecks and my SSI check I think of the OH message board and especially this Feb group who have become my extended family. So many responded to my post when my mom died and comforted me and Sheri. Thanks guys. I think how God has led me through difficult situations and is always there to help with problems as they arise and is a faithful Father to me always. Paula
