Anyone have plastic surgery yet?
Hey, Lee. I was just visiting a friend with an 11 year old boy and a 1 year old girl. Following my visit -I said to my husband..."I need to get me one of them" - referring to the 11 year old boy. He is absolutely smitten with his little sister and is a tremendous help to his mom. You are not crazy, just adventurous.

Hi Debbie,
I have lost 174 pounds, and if you saw me naked you would scream and run away!! Loose skin hanging. My thighs are soo very ugly I won't be able to go out of the house with shorts on.
I'm excited to consult with a few platic surgeons. I had a matectomy d/t breast cancer in 1998. I never had a reconstruction. I can have it now. I want to also have my right breast removed so I don't have to worry about cancer reappearing. I don't want inplants. They can take extra tissue from my upper rear end, my belly or outer thighs. I started taking pictures of fungus infections under my pannus. I feel encouraged.
I made an appointment for one doc highly recommended on this site (Dr. Askren in Freno). I have an appt for Oct.3. He must be really good. I'm going to try for an appointment at UCLA too.
I had a bad consult visit with a surgeon last Friday. I was so excited, my daughter came with me and I was giggling. The doctor walks in the room with a very sour face and tells me she will not see any more patients with fibromyalgia, because they are ALWAYS WHINING. I just burst into tears as my daughter told her off. It used to be about my weight (my orthopedic surgeon ridiculed me). Now fibromyalgia. I've had it for 34+ years. I don't think I whine about it.
Sorry I had to vent and get it out of my system.
May God guide your surgeon's hands on your hysterectomy and tt.

Debbie,
I have had my consultation with my plastic surgeon. I need a trunk or mid section lift and the excess skin removed from my thighs. My current insurance will not pay for anything even though a butt lift is considered a medical necessity according to my doctor. I am not sure if blue cross blue shield will pay for anything. If I have to pay for it then I will have the thighs done first, estimated cost is @ $6,000.00 I am going to go see another plastic surgeon for a second opinion. The estimated cost for the mid section lift is $10,000.00. Yea right that won't happen anytime soon!! Best of luck to you. Let me know how it goes.

wow was reading your post and I guess it really depends on where you live as to cost. My friend in calif. paid 12,000 for body lift
and here in Oregon its going to be approx 8,000.oo for bodylift that includes thigh at the same surgery. The doc Ive chosen isnt the cheapest either just the best results from the work Ive seen and I know others that are going back to him for more. this whole search has been interesting
Debbie,
I'll get my first consult in June. I'm hoping for both a tt and a boob job. I do get sores under my breasts when I run, and I'm hoping to justify the belly by the upper back and neck pain from all the bounce. My whole front bounces when I run. I don't have sores under my tummy, but the skin sure is loose.
I've heard you're supposed to do the tummy first and then the boobs so the boobs don't get ruined. I'm hoping insurance will cover both or I'll have to pay for the tummy myself first. That'll be tough so it may take a while.
Three more months, though, and I'll have more answers.
