This morning, I got to see (well...kind of got to see) the President of the United States. He came to our city to speak and I work in the building located next to where he was speaking. When he was finished, his motorcade passed by our building and I stood outside to wave. Probably the closest I'll ever get. And by the way, all those very serious looking men that walk around talking into their shoulders are REAL! My question to all of you is have you ever met or do you know anyone famous? When I was a baby, Elvis held me. Woo Hoo!! My father went to high school with him and one day he and my mother ran into Elvis here in Memphis right after I was born. And lucky me was held by the King! Of course, I don't remember a thing....darn it! Anyway, that's it for me. You all have a great weekend! Wanda

Jill, I can't imagine meeting that many famous people! I don't know what I'd do if I had the opportunity to meet even one of them! I'd probably freeze up or faint, or something silly like that. Thanks for sharing! Wanda

Hiya, I met Mrs. Bush ( senior) during Desert Storm . She came to our base because so many of our people were gone. My hubby was gone for 10 months and they choose a few of us old timers (lol) to meet her. It was a great experience and am very happy to have been involved in it .

Hey Teri, Mrs. Bush (senior) is my all time favorite first lady. Anyone who married a future president and birthed one also is okay in my book! Wanda

Hey Wanda, I never realized until now what a boring life I've led. 54 years old and never met anyone famous!! Paula 299/125 P.S. I do have a congratulatory card sent to my mother and father and signed by the 1st Richard Daley, Mayor or Chicago. But I guess quite a few kids born in Chicago in the early 50's got that!
