Are you still losing?

Hi Everyone, I was just curious how many of you are still losing weight, and how many have stopped. For me the weight loss has slowed down drastically, and I have to go on a very strict diet plan to get the weight loss started back up. I still need to lose around 20 lbs or so, and I'm so thankful I can still lose at this point. How is it for you? Take care, Rhonda Carter -100 lbs

I am having a hard time at this point. I am stilling losing but it will take me a week or two to lose a pound. It has definately slowed. Now it has to be an really conserted effort to make sure it keeps coming off and then staying off. To be expected. Lisa open 2/11/04 456/254

Hi Rhonda, I am almost at my year mark next week and have lost 210 pounds and want to loose 80 more. I have some platues but get it going im still loosing about 5-10 pounds a week it's definatley a struggle to get off the plaetau though.... Good job to you on your success

Hi Rhonda, I gained 5 pounds last month. I was only 2 pounds from goal and I suddenly became terrified of maintenance - something I have never been successful at. No Duh!! I started grazing and sabotaging myself. Thank God I realized what I was doing. I have been praying for God to lift this burden and I feel very positive now. I saw on the main board yesterday how Joanne did a 5 day liquid only plan and is slowly adding back meals. Wonderful idea for me. I started this am back to basics, full liquids for 5 days. I hope to lose the 7 pounds to goal in probably 3 months or so. You are so right, it is so hard to lose now. The honeymoon is over. But I'm not going to let the marriage be over, so to speak. Great weight loss Rhonda. And, continued success until you are satisifed with your weight loss. Paula 299/219/132/125 P.S. Oh, I also put up the scale as I had become very obsessive about weighing everytime I went to the BR.

I weighed 330 and now weigh 188. My doctor wants me to go to 145. I wish. I've been losing about a pound a week for awhile now. It sucks. I try to look at it like this 52 weeks in a year and 43 pounds to go so hopefully I can reach my goal by my 2 years out. It's a struggle but we can all get there. Slooooooooooooooowly though. Some poeple have less or more to lose than me so I try hard not to compare pounds because it can get you down. I can comfortably fit in a seat at the movie theater. Heck I've got room to spare now so I am very happy with my progress. This summer I'm riding a rollar coaster. (That's my real goal... he he) Woo Hoo!

Yes, I'm still losing, but very slowly. I'm around the 206-210 range and dying to get below 200. I know it will come, it's up to me and what I do. Denise

Denise, Sweetie You look marvelous and I have a hard time believing you weigh more than 175, you look great! I think your scales need replacing LOL!! Keep up the good work girl. Hugs Sandra

I am also one year out and still losing but like all of you s-l-o-w-l-y. I would also like to lose about 30 more pounds before considering plastic surgery. I decided to do something about it. I joined weigh****chers - their new "core" plan is wonderful. No counting at all. Hope it will keep me on the losing side or at least in a place where I will not gain. So fearful of gaining weight. I also go to curves about 3 times a week. That also helps. Gotta work it for all it is worth. We are not in an easy place right now. So nice to read posts which help me not to feel all alone.

I'm going super slow, but part of it is my fault. I exercise daily, but have been doing too many carbs. Working to get back on track. Mary

I haven't lost anything since January 6th, but overall I'm down 106 pounds and think I may be as low (148) as I'm going to go. I had my one year check up yesterday and the surgeon was pleased and had me talk with the dietician about weight maintenance. Julie
