Robbed this morning
Can't believe it! I stopped at my local grocery to pick up donuts for the morning staff meeting (for others, not me ha! ha!) and got robbed! And this at a shopping plaza that I've run in and out of all of the time for the past 10 years.
As I went to put my groceries into the car, a young man stepped up behind me, threatened me, and demanded my money. Obviously, I gave it to him. He calmly crawled into his car and drove away, so no one was hurt.
I was so glad I HAD cash...I generally don't, and was just grateful he didn't take my wallet with both checkbooks and all of my credit cards. I did get a description of the car, but he had no license plate and his face was covered with a black, winter scarf. I filed a police report, but they'll never catch him unless he does it again (which he probably will since he was pretty careful about the license). I had to go to the office to call the police because my cell phone was not charged - THAT won't be happening again!
What a rotten way to start the day! I'm okay, but a little shaky and I'm sure it will hit me later.

Julie,
Wow that's a scary morning. I am glad you are ok and you handeld yourself good. Did the grocery store know what happened?
Maybe you could have called the police from there, were there any witnesses maybe someone who saw something will speek up and report it that might help, I hope they catch him. Hope you didn't have to much cash with you. When you go home take a nice warm bath and try to relax and be thankful you didn't get hurt.
Be well
Julie,
I wish there was something I could say that would ease your mind some. Take care of yourself and try to just let it go. There isn't anything else you can do about it now. I generally believe that people will eventually get what's coming to them even if I never see it. That helps me not be so angry.

Thanks for all the encouraging words. Today is much better; I refuse to let some crum ruin my daily routine so I was back in the same parking lot this morning picking up my dry cleaning.
I've got way too much good in my life to let it get to me. After all, I lived 46 years without anything like it happening, so maybe I'm good for another 46 now.
Love you all,
Julie
