Poll: How much sleep do you get?

Seems like my body requires 7 to 8 hours each night. I try to be in bed in the evenings by 10:00 p.m. and get up at 6:00 in the morning during the work week. It doesn't matter what time I go to sleep on the weekends, I still get up by at least 7:00 a.m. (darn!). I've never seen a post about sleep patterns, but I'll bet how we sleep has something to do with our weight loss and how we feel. I'm a firm believer that everyone should get their rest. I hardly ever get sick. I can't tell you the last time I had a cold (knock on wood!). I attribute some of that to getting enough rest. How about all of you? Wanda, I'm doing good to get 6-7 hours during the week. Sometimes I get a little more on weekends, but that depends on what we're doing. I also can't get to sleep as early on the days I take my B-12. I don't get sick much either, but I never did. Got a great immune system. I've always had about the same amount of sleep as I get now, so for me nothing really has changed (except the B-12 part). Wanda, I believe my immune system has improved greatly the last 2 years (because of exercise and weight loss). I haven't had a cold or the flu (knock on wood too). I think the daily vitamins have helped too. Sleep .... at least 6 hours, sometimes 8. Mary

I get at least 7 hours, sometimes 8. It seems to me that this last month, I've been exhausted, sometimes falling asleep as early as 8:30 - 9:00. I've watched my vitamins closely thinking that may be it, but now I'm wondering if it's just winter lag brought on after the after chrismas let down. I was soooooooooo busy before Christmas. Haven't had the flu, but have had a slight cold. Didn't last too long so it was manageable. Julie 254/146

I get 6 hours of interrupted sleep. I wake up every 1-2 hours. It's always been that way. I really never feel rested. I have fibromyalgia and problems staying asleep is very common. Paula

Thanks for replying, everyone. Looks like I may get more sleep than most everybody else. I've always cherished my sleep and feel blessed that I can sleep throughout the night (most of the time....especially since my husband was put on a C-pap machine for sleep apnea!). I hate to admit it, but laying down at the end of the day is one of my most favorite times of the day. Everyone take care. Wanda

Not enough at least that is how it seems. Not enough uninterupted sleep I should say. I am generally in the bed by 10pm and up by 6am, but BF comes to bed about 1am and always wakes me up whether he means to or not but it is getting old FAST!! So I started being louder in the morning and disturbing his beauty sleep...hehe! I'm such a stinker! Tiff (Lap RNY 2/17/04; 245/149/135)
