I just realized ......

That I have lost exactly what I want to weigh!!!!!!! Yikes, I've lost a whole person. My high weight was 305. As of today, I weigh 180 and have lost 125 lbs. I would like to weigh 125 lbs so that my BMI will be in the normal range. It was such a weird realization that I have lost what I want to weigh. Also altho I knew I was heavy, I never saw myself as heavy as my before photos shows (see profile). Now I don't see myself as thin as my after photos shows (see profile). Funny how our mind doesn't always see things the way it should. I'm happy, healthy, and loving life. The last two months the weight loss has been minimal, but it seems to now to be starting again (thank you Richard Simmons ... LOL ... I've been exercising to his tapes). Mary

Great Job Mary!!! Isn't it cool to have those reality moments? I couldn't believe it when someone said to me in conversation, "But you're so SMALL" when I still don't see myself as small as I'm told I am. Linn

Linn, I think we all need to start seeing ourselves as others see us. It is amazing the transformation we go thru on this journey. Mary

Congratualtions Mary . Way to go, you should be very proud of yourself and confident you will achieve your goal your almost there. I saw your post about the books I will check into those at the Library. Those Richard Simmons tapes are a good idea I will see how much they are and maybe try them. Wishes of continued success, Jill

Jill, Thank you. I started on the workbook one (Magic Pill) last night. It is very interesting and I am doing the workbook/lesson part as I go along. It is causing to really stop and reflect. I think it will be helpful. I got my DVDs of Richard Simmons thru home shopping network on line. I just checked and they still have a few of his left and the items are on sale (1/2 price) and both have free shipping still. One set has a VHS tape and another the DVD. I have both. Also got (but now sold out) a set of 5 of the blast off DVDs for $15 from them with free shipping. You can find the ones available by going to hsn.com and doing a search on Richard Simmons. Mary

Mary, You look fantastic! The first time I read your profile, I could tell you are a very happy person..... beautiful on the inside and out. Like you, I don't think I ever realized just how big I had gotten. When I look at pictures of myself before the surgery, I just can't believe it. And like you, I don't really see myself as small now, even though people make comments about how much smaller I am now. Some days, I still feel big. You are doing wonderfully! Wanda, Thank you so much. I agree I was and am basically a happy person. I've had my moments, like everyone, where my weight really weighed me done emotionally. Now I really am happy with me. I truly feel blessed to have had this surgery and to now be so healthy. Other blessings in my life too, especially my husband, Hal. You are right, I definitely will get LOTS more exercise once we move into the new house. Right now I'm getting LOTS of exercise shopping and searching for all the things we "think" we might need before making any purchases. So much fun. Mary
