WLS Post Op Books
Lisa,
The night I ordered it showed they only had 5 left in stock. I went ahead and ordered. Received confirmation that my order (both books) had been shipped. I have checked the tracking info and they should be delivered today (I hope, I hope).
Why not check with your local book store and see if they can order it for you.

There was a big issue getting a copy from Amazon for me, too, so I went on Ebay and got mine; turns out the person selling them on Ebay was Paula herself
I didn't ask what the problem with Amazon was, but I'm assuming limited publisher stock and demand; maybe they've reprinted now.
Got it at a MUCH more reasonable price than the list book price (under Amazon too).
I also have the Teri Holzclaw book (as well as "Become You" ). and the David ____ (forget his last name) recipe book where he's a chef that had WLS; All the books are good that I've read so far, of course, I'm not following all of them all of the time, but everything I've read and remember so far is pretty good. The "It's not... but there is a magic pill" is a compilation/workbook of two previous books that she had; from what I saw of one of the other books, I would rather have those than the workbook, but the ones that you can find are VERY VERY expensive, and they are extremely hard to find. I'm a regular ebayer and also look for books on abebooks.com (American Book Exchange I think) which is a bookseller listing service, and I've only seen one copy ever of ONE of the books, and they wanted some ridiculous price for a thin paperback. I got the one I looked at through InterLibrary Loan which I highly recommend to evaluate any books, either pre-op or post op (It's also good to recommend to pre-op friends, if it's a book that you use, because then you don't run the risk of LOSING THE BOOK! LOL ).
Dealing with all the issues is the harder part of this, and both Paula's book and all of Teri's books DO deal with "dealing with the issues"..
Hope this helps.
....Nick
PS. And oh, a little bit of other news (grin) I finally hit the century club.
