Lee...
Hi Lee and everyone else,
Are you scheduled to have your tubal ligation reversed? Are you still getting it done and then trying to get pregnant?
I've been off the pill for about 2 months. I'm hoping to predict ovulation this month and try for a boy...timing, timing, timing!
I'll be interested to hear what's happening with you, if you care to share. I also have a soft spot to hear about your daughter, of course if it's not too personal or painful. You can e-mail me if you'd like.
Let's meet in NYC. Anyone else interested?
Have a glorious day
Denise
Hi there,
Yes I am looking to get it done in March. I got pregnant twice on the pill part of the reason I had them tied (guess Im the 1%).
I would love to meet up with you in NYC, you name the time and the place...
Good luck on predicting boy or girl, have you looked at the chineese calander, its meant to be very good at helping predict.
You have a wonderful day also
Lee
Denise,
Just a note ... much of what I had read about pregnancy and weight loss surgery says to wait until they were 18 months out before trying to get pregnant because you are still in the weight loss mode and because your body is still adjusting to all of the changes from the surgery. Did your surgeon give any recommendations for a time-frame for you?
Another piece of information I picked up from reading is to be sure to have an OB doctor that is familiar with WLS and the malabsorption issues.
Wishing you the best. A baby would be thrilling.
Did you also know that there is a post-op pregnancy board on obesity help? Here's the link:

No, I'm not interested in getting pregant (I'm 52) but over the last two years have done research for friends who wanted surgery and then pregnancy.
