Just what I needed.
I know this sounds crazy, but I dumped last night and it was just what I needed. I ate a hand full of bite size Tootsie Rolls at about 8:30 last night, mindelessly while watching tv. I'm really glad it upset my system....I'll think twice next time I eye those Tootsie Rolls! Its been so long since anything has bothered me. This was a good reminder that I need to be more careful!
Anybody else had any reminders here lately?
sorry to hear that you dumped. i don't dump, although, I have not gone overboard with sugar yet. I use splenda when anything calls for a little sweetening.
Mary, I have a thing for Peanut M & M's. I've only had two since surgery. I do not buy them...they will scream for me from the pantry until I rescue them from their little bag and throw them in my mouth.
I have eaten some things that have not agreed with me, like some Auntie Ann's soft pretzel that turned into a dough ball in my pouch. Raw cookie dough - which i just love - gave me explosive diarrhea. Live and learn.

Denise,
For the most part I've kept tempting items out of the house. My husband doesn't have a weight issue and his favorites are plain M&Ms. They normally don't talk to me, but I find that by having them in his office and he eats them in there that I am not tempted. I think having protein bars (that I really like) has helped because it makes me feel like I am eating a treat item and it is satisfying too.
Luckily I truly dislike cookie dough ice cream and that is his favorite, so again no temptation.
Mary
