Wow what a tough couple weeks. We went to Idaho to visit family and everyone there got sick with the stomach flu . Yesterday we started our drive home and I was so sick, I thought I had escaped it. My daughter had to go in the hospital there for it and I spent the night in the hospital with her. She is feeling good now but I had the sharpest stomach pains and nausa ever!!!! Last night in the hotel room in Vegas I had the chills and a slight fever. Riding in the car for 9 hours totally sick with pain it was hard to travel :-0 we had to make lots of stops for potty with direaha alot felt like thowing up but saved myself that pain I called my surgon and he told me to take some Tylenol and shake up some sprite to get the carbination out and gateroide. Well it was so horrible and painful it made it hard to figure out what I could take and I didn't get enough protien in or water for sure yesterday. Today I am pushing making sure I do. I feel better but still woozie..... Anyone else have this happen to them? It was great seeing everyone there they made me feel so very good about my weight loss of 185 pounds they made a big deal and that felt good. It's good to be home though.. Happy Holidays to Everyone and Happy New Year Jill

Jill, I'm so sorry you are sick. The important thing is to stay hydrated, don't worry about the protein right now. Gatorade has a lot of sugar in it, so you might want to dilute it to avoid dumping. Propel water is made by gatorade but minimal sugar but has the nutrients in it too (not sure if as high as Gatorade tho). You may find warm fluids more soothing than cold ---- each person is different. V-8 juice diluted and heated (don't get the spicy kind) is very soothing and add some nutrients in your system too. Stay away from orange juice, lemonade or lemon added to your fluids --- too much acid and can make you with more tummy upset than before. If you are dehydrated, you can feel dizzy, woozie etc. Keep those fluids coming. Take Tylenol if needed to control your fever and get plenty of rest. Feel better soon. Mary

Jill.......I can't imagine how miserable you must have been. I've never been through that, thank goodness. Just thinking about it makes me cringe. I hope you and your daughter are feeling much better. Congratulations on the 185 pound loss! Happy New Year Wanda
