Do some of you notice that we are now able to eat a lot more. I am not sure why. Maybe it's stress but it seems like I am always hungry. Is this happening to anyone else.

I am DEFINATELY eating more than previous months. I can eat a whole sandwich, a piece of pizza, 1/2 chicken breast. When I overeat, I get sick, which has not happened too much lately. Denise

Yes. It scares me! I have been eating way more carbs than I should the last month and I think that is what is making me more hungry. I went back to my eating mostly protein yesterday and was not quite as hungry. Now, what to do with all the pies and cakes left over from Christmas! Do they freeze well?

Overall I think I can eat quite a bit more, and yet there are still times when I eat just a couple of bites and I'm very full. It's been very difficult to eat protein lately - it just sets heavy. I've had to resort to protein drinks to be sure I get enough. I can't honestly say that I'm experiencing hunger, but the head thing is a constant battle. I'm prone to grazing.

Chris, Yes, I can eat more many days and other days just a little. I find that the density of the food I eat makes a significant difference. If I eat chicken, I can eat a smaller amount. If I eat carbs, I can eat more. If I eat carbs, I have the munchies big time and do feel hungry quite a bit as a result. If you are doing carbs, cut way back on them or eliminate them. I know pre-op once I got them out of my system I sure did feel in control and didn't have the munchies for the first time in years. Mary

Thanks for all your replys, I guess I have been eating more carbs during the last few weeks. It is so difficult with all the Holiday parties and all.
