How was your Christmas?
I am back to work today after resting all day yesterday. I entertained on Christmas Eve, Christmas morning and Christmas dinner. Whew!! I was exhausted. I think a hundred people went through my house in two days. It was fun, but I am tired. We had a open house on Christmas eve for family and friends and family got together at my house on christmas morning for my famous Christmas Quiche and Mimosa's and to open presents. Then it was time to get ready for dinner with 2 turkeys, a whole ham and a huge roast beef. A lot of food was consumed. I baked sugar free desserts for the people watching their calorie and sugar intake and of course had the full sugar assortment also. My husband and I have reserved a room at the Sheraton Grand Hotel downtown for New Years Eve and we are going to have fun. Hope everyone's holiday was wonderful! Susan
Susan,
My family and I had a wonderful Christmas. Our festivities started early this year with an office party at my house on the 4th. Then the following weekend, we attended a progressive dinner in the neighborhood, which ended at our house with dessert and gift opening. The following Sunday (the 19th), I went to a cookie exchange. And then, we spent Christmas eve, Christmas day and yesterday with family. Christmas Day was at my house (about 40 people). Whew!!! Am I ready to rest! I always enjoy this time of year. Now that I'm 80 pounds lighter, my engine didn't run out of steam quite as fast!
It sounds like you and your husband have the right idea for New Years Eve. I hope you guys have a great time!
Wanda
Well it sounds like Susan and Wanda has very busy holidays over the past few weeks. We are no exception. December started for us like many families across the country with my husband and I trying to get our 3 year old to sit on Santa's lap. No luck. Maybe next year. I treated myself to a day trip to NYC to see The Foreigner with Matthew Broderick. It is a hilarious off-broadway play that you must see if you get the chance. Christmas for us is all about family. Christmas eve was at the home of my sister in law and her husband. She decorates to the brim and had a lovely gathering of food and drinks. I hosted christmas day dinner for a smaller gathering of the family and made my first ham, which was a success. I was happy to finally sit down when everyone went home. I enjoyed my daughter's excitement as she saw all of her gifts. New Year's Eve? I hope to be with family to ring in the new year.

Wonderful and White and when I fell down in the snow I was able to jump up with out anyones help YES!! jump up a year ago it would have taken several grown men or even a crane to lift me amazing what little things amuse us now that we are 110+ lbs lighter.
Hope everyone is having a great holiday too,
Nancy
We had a nice Christmas holiday. On Christmas Eve we drove down to see our new home progress and it was thrilling to know that the lumber and roof tiles have been delivered and are sitting on the property. It should be framed (we hope) before new years day.
Christmas Day we had a wonderful dinner out and when we got home watched movies and called family and friends.
Yesterday drove to a friends to help her unpack more. The movers just delivered her things last weekend and we helped then too. Her house is beginning to look like a very nice home. It is wonderful to have her here in AZ now too and not too far away.
Enjoy your New Year's Eve ... sounds like lots of fun.

Wow falling in the snow!! Being from California's Sacramento Valley, where it never snows, it is really nice to hear about a white Christmas. And also to read about going to NYC. The wonders of the internet...Isn't it neat to talk to people all over the United States. Glad to hear everyone had a great Christmas. Susan
