LOL - I must be chopped liver Guess I'm one of the few guys still in 0204 that posts But I'll answer anyways ( just bustin on ya). Breakfast I normally just grab a few cups of coffee, I know I should grab more, but honestly I don't usually either get up in time and I've found if I eat in the car I end up eating WAY too fast and dump (and occasionally crash after that, which is BAD while driving!!!) Lunch, it depends - either an EAS bar or 1/2 to a whole sandwich or wrap... or occasionally I'll have some soup but that doesn't usually hold me till dinner. I'll usually grab some beef jerky as a snack about 6-ish on the way home or to class depending; dinner depends on the night, sometimes it's beef jerky or a nutrition bar if I have to be travelling to either class, support group or practice for the celtic band I'm in, other nights, it depends on what's for supper - either a card-deck size piece of chicken with a little rice or veggie as another side, or if it's pulled pork (we found a great place about 30 mins from here where we get a few pounds of it at a time, and eat it over the next week ) I can eat about 1/2 cup to a cup. If it's burgers, I can usually eat one burger with no bread and 10-15 fries or tater tots if I eat slowly enough. Snacking is my big issue; I usually try to keep it to popcorn, pistachios, peanuts, or the dreaded "evil chips" (baked pita chips), but have unfortunately discovered that I can graze on them if I'm careful (or more appropriately NOT careful). That's about it, it's more than enough usually (I should probably be eating some less; feel like a pig some days). Trying to get exercise in, but until this class stops I don't have the extra time to put in right now - running 3-4 nights a week And even after that, there will be the online support group chat to run one night a week, group 1 night a month, *sigh* it never ends Best of luck with your wedding - and hope the comparison helps - Joyous Hanukwanzachrismukkah - the politically correct holiday (Seriously though - happy holidays to all ). ....Nick

Joanne, First what part of RI are you from?? I am originally from Cranston. Anyway, the 13th will be my 10 month anniversary. I am not consistant with my drinking or eating. Usually for breakfast I will have 3 slices of bacon and 1/2 c to 3/4 cup of oatmeal or 1/4 c.scrambled eggs w/ cheese. If I am not working that day I will eat 2 slices of cheese with deli ham rolled up. I am not crazy abou****er but I drink alot of propel flavored water from gatorade. Snacks: i eat fruit, baked chips, popcorn, carbwell bars. Lunch: what ever the hospital is having that day; like yesturday I had 1/2 a baked pork chop and 2 tablespoons of peas. For dinner I finished the other 1/2 of my lunch. I find I eat small amounts about 4-5 times a day. I drink alot of coffee and Propel but I don't drink 64 oz a day if I do I don't eat. As of 1 week ago I had lost 140 lbs since 2/13/04. I try to stay away from breads although some times I eat peanut butter crackers for a snack. Out of a pack of 6 I usually eat 3-4. Hi! I'm from Exeter. but I am a transplant from the island. Was in Middletown most of my life. You know how it is with islanders. They never leave the island even though it is RI and so small that you can travel from one end to another in an hour. I broke free and live here with my fiance' whom I am marrying in 12 days!!!!!! OMG...... I just realized that!!!!!!!! I have to go. I have so much to do. (freaking out, shaking, nervous, petrified, scared, about to scream, uuuugggghhhhh) Joanne

Hi Joanne, I've missed you on the board. Both you and Dan had quite a year with medical challenges. Good things will happen at both ends of the year - your wls in Feb and your wedding in December. I pray for only good things to happen from now on! I track on Fitday. I like to keep my protein to at least 80-90 gms a day. I try to keep the carbs low, but I'm not that worried about carbs. Same thing with fats. I've lost about the same as you - 82 lbs. I am not able to exercise, but I am pleased with my weight loss thus far. My usual menu looks something like this: B.....Oatmeal made with 2/3 C. soymilk S.....Matrix 5.0 hot chocolate made with soymilk L.....1/4 cup of tuna, and /2 cup cottage cheese D.....3 oz baked fish (I like orange roughy), 1/4 or 1/2 cup steamed veggies, 1/4 cup whole grain like couscous (so simple to make) S.....Matrix 5.0 hot chocolate made with soymilk Have a blessed wedding and marriage. Paula

I eat cheese, chicken, beans (refried/pinto), protein bars, etc...i do not feel hungry ever - BUT i do feel really low on gas/out of energy and thats when i know its TIME to eat. I get really dizzy and feel light headed. Its kind of scary, some times worse than others. I dont eat red meat, i dont feel like i chew it well enough to swallow. Im still a little paranoid about that. Making sure food is chewed well enough to swallow. Ive never had anything get stuck yet, and i dont wanna start now hehe. Rachel 270/151
