Hello everyone, I had posted some time ago about my Tailbone being very sore. Last week I went to my surgeon and told him it hurt's on and off, he said it was normal after loosing alot of weight. But WOW it hurts very bad and is so extremley uncomfortable. Does anyone else have this? It seems when I skkp loosing weight it hurts and after a while it is ok. Don't know what else to do for it. Any suggestions for HELP????? Also my liver level has gone up to 1,100 from 200 or so, have been to a GI Specialist and they have checked me for Serosious of the liver and Hepatitiis. All clear on that. My surgeon says it's normal for it to go up after surgery and it's a fatty liver, but his asstiant is more concerned. If anyone can give me some advice PLEASE DO.... Thanks for Listening, Jill -139

My tush is super sore (along with the rest of my body - lol). My boyfriend will no longer let me sit on his lap because he said my butt is so boney it kills him. Here is the somewhat freakish thing . . . I HAVE A TAIL!!! Its my tailbone I guess - but now that the weight is gone it sticks out a considerable amount (my boyfriend makes fun of that too - nice guy - huh - haa haa). Anyways, at one point I went and saw my surgeon about my aches & they told me it was part of the process (it's in my profile if you wanna read it). But they said something like especially when you sleep you no longer have the fat protecting you, so your bones are more exposed to all of those positions, & twisting & turning. I even added a daily potassium w/magnesium & it doesn't seem to help much either . . . I was told it would just take time . . . so here I am waiting - lol. Although my liver enzymes were alright - I also heard that - its a normal "thing" after surgery. I've read of MANY people having it on the mainboard (you might want to try a search). But you are doing everything right - especially with checking with your doc first. I'm sure everything is going to be fine. You're doing awesome!!!! Big Hugs Amanda

Amanda, Thanks for the reply, it helps to know others have the same issue with the bones. I know a boney butt is a small price to pay but it so painful!!! Keep up your success! Thx Jill

who would have thought I would have a boney butt... I have to becareful of how I sit or else it feels like I am breaking the thing. They do sell foam booty inserts for pants if you want the J-Lo look. I guess we will get used to it. What have the skinny people done all of their lives???

Glenda, Thanks for the reply it's nice to know I am not alone. How did it go away? Yes I take my vitamans faithfully every morning and now they added Thiminan B-1 to help regulate the liver hope it helps me. Thanks, Jill

Jill, I have the same issue with my tailbone. It especially hurts after I've done sit-ups at the gym. My trainer said that I am overworking my tailbone (who knew??). Anyway, when it gets really bad, I take tylenol, and that definatley helps. Barb

Hi Jill, If you find an answer to this problem PLEASE let me know. I sit at a computer for 10 hours a day....I came home from work last week almost in tears my tailbone was hurting so bad. I told my husband I thought it was coming through my skin. I laid down on my bed with an ice pack on my butt. That seems to help and the pain meds I take for my back help a LITTLE. I think I want the padding back on my butt though if this is the way it has to feel. Good luck on your journey....and congrats on the fantastic weight loss! -Vanessa -135lbs

Vanessa, I was told yesterday that you can buy a Donut ( not the kind you can eat) at a medical supply place to use they say it helps. I understand your pain, mine hurts to so very bad and ice seems to make it burn. Yes I think pain meds take very little off the edge. My surgeon says after a while you get used to it. Easy for him to say HAHAHA I know it's fustrating when you cant sit I try to lay on my side but I still feel the pain. Great Job on your weight loss too, Thanks for the reply Jill
