Starting to feel normal ((long post))
Well, the last 5 posts have summed up how I have been feeling lately. I am really glad to have this resource available to double-check my sanity...LOL. I am very much so going through all the issues that have been mentioned. The previous 2 months, I had only lost 5 pound each month and only after my period, so that meant that I was on plateaus for the whole month except for 1 day. I want smaller clothes, but the smaller clothes have to hide the imperfections. I went to Scotsdale, AZ for 2 days (Oct 7 & 8) and took a whole suitcase full of clothes because I know I have to try and try on clothes until I feel satisfied with how they look on me. I have kept my eye on the goal and felt that this was my main drive to not think too hard about the other things...like wondering if my bowel movements would ever get back to normal. I want you all to know (if it makes you feel better) that you are not alone.
Since Arizona, I have lost 6 pounds and feel that I now understand why, so I will share. I was heavy into weight lifting everyday (different muscle groups every other day). Since I went to Arizona, I have backed off on the weight lifting and have lifted only twice each week, instead I have been walking more (trying to enjoy the weather before the snow comes), and since I sweat more when I do cardio, I have been drinking more. The only change with my food is more fiber (which is helping the bowels too). I have heard a dietician call Fiber the key to weight loss, it drags extra carbohydrates out of your system and makes you feel full for longer. So, I am going to keep eating more fiber, doing more cardio and drinking more water. Anyone with me????
Sorry for such a long post,
((((((hugs everyone)))))))

Fiber is great for you! If/when I eat carbs I do my best to make sure its full of fiber and not that processed white flour stuff. water is key and always will be. but I totally agree with you! After you lose all your weight maybe it will be better then to bump back up to serious weight lifting to really build up the good lean muscle. Good work keep it up!!!

good fiber foods include whole grains, brocoli, cauliflour, veggies of that sort...really just pick up the package and read the contents. You want something high in fiber b/c the fiber actually counteracts the carbohydrates. So if something has 25 g of carbs but 8 grams of fiber it really only has 17 carbs. Good stuff isnt it?!
