Hi Everyone!! I am having some doubts. I started my surgery at 420. I am down to 295ish. I have not lost anythign in 3 weeks, and I have gone up 2lbs. There are a lot of issues with my hormones (I got an IUD in and my cycle is MESSED up) and there is a lot of other stress going on. My question is.. Is this all I am going to loose? That just puts more stress on me. I worry. I know lately I have been on the right track with eating, but I am still working out and trying to work out somem frustrations that way. OK.. Maybe I needed a "shoulder" to cry on who knows what I am going through~ Thanks, Sarah G.

Sarah, Please remember that after the first 6 months we lose slower anyway. It's not uncommon to have long plateaus at this point in time. All you need to be worrying about right now is continuing with the plan you were given. If you think there is a real problem, talk with your doctors. Three weeks isn't really that long a time to be not losing. Another thing to look at is what were your stable weights. I had a couple of stalls in the weight loss at these times. Just keep on doing what you know is right, and I think you'll be fine. If you know you're not doing things the way you're supposed to, then now would be the time to get back on track. Otherwise, you just need to be patient with yourself. Take care, and you know you can always come here and vent. We're pretty good listeners. Linn

Sarah, We all have moments of needing a shoulder .... so definitely understand. I'm positive you will lose more. MANY continue to lose up to the 2 year mark but may experience periods of no loss. The plateaus give us major frustrations but also give our bodies a chance to rest and catch up with all the changes going on. Sounds like you are following the rules, the weight loss will happen. Congratulations on your successes ... you are doing GREAT. Mary

Look at how much you have lost so far. What a great accomplishment. As long as you continue to monitor your intake and exercise, you will most likely continue losing. Don't fret, keep that chin up. Denise
