I started at 269 from doctor but i lost weight 2 weeks before because my sugar was high, I was 283. i am now 158, in a size 8 pants LOL i cant believe it, everytime i take my clothes out of the dryer i think i shrunk everything. it is too wild! I am doing great, getting ready to apply to culinary school. I feel good and have been feeling very good about myself. Read your profile, sorry you have had such horrendous problems, keep the faith kelly

My surgery was on 2/17/2004. I've lost a total of 87lbs and I don't think I'm done. Some people have told me not to worry about the weight that when you finally plateau that you gain some weight back and that'll be you're final weight. I went from a size 22 to a 6/4 more towards 4. I feel good about my weight but the doctor a little consider I don't think he should be. My highest weight was 216lbs but the day of my surgery weight in at 201lbs. I don't think my weight has come off at a fast pace but now that I look back I see that it did. Today I weight 129lbs I'm 5'2" and have long legs some I look much taller and thinner. I would do it again!!! My back doesn't hurt as much as it did before. helen rny 2/17/04 201/129

I see everyone has lost so much!!!!! Congratulations to you all!!!! Alas, I have only lost 80 lbs. It just doesn't want to come off. Since Dan went into the hospital twice and I went in once and wear the brace, I have been grazing on sugar free, low carb things. So that is a big contributer. I also can't move much. I try to but then I am in some serious pain by nighttime. I feel like this is over for me. Would I do it again? I am off meds for sugar, BP is lower (now normal), cholestorol is normal (was high) and even though it is only 80 and I still have 20-25 to go, I would do it again. I am healthier. This was the reason for the surgery. Not to look like a fashion model. I feel now that I can live longer and have that happy long life that I want with Dan. Am I disappointed that I didn't lose more, yes. But I have to focus on the real reason I had this done. My health. I am very happy with that. Joanne

Hi Renee! I weighed the same as you, 264 and I weigh about the same as you, 157. Yes, you bet I would do it again! In a heart beat. I am one of the lucky ones that did not have any problems what so ever. And I feel great! Why would you not do it again? Did you have alot of problems? I hope all is going well for you. Robin
