Almost 8 months out poll....
Hello everyone. I'm hoping that everyone that had surgery in the month of February will respond. It always helps me to see how other people who had surgery around the same time are doing. So... my question is, How much did you weigh before surgery, what do you weigh now and (here's the big one... ) Would you do it again???
Ok, I'll start.. I started at 264, I now weigh 160, I would not do this again. But it is nice being smaller!!!
Thank you to everyone in advance for responding. I know everyone loses at a different rate, but I still like to hear where everyone is in there progress... Thanks again!!!

Hi Renee,
I have lost 130 pounds and yes I would do it again and suggest it to someone else. I had no complications and only success, the suffering is behind me. I still need to loose more weight but I know I can do it. I am very happy and thankful I was able to get this.
Good Luck to Everyone on a Successful WLJ and Future Healthy Life!!!
hey Renee, and alll,,,
let see i started this at 418, i am down to 293 so thats 125 pounds gone forever.. would I do this again, heck yes. because i am getting my life and health back..I had a very complications at the begining and had to have a second surgery , but I am so very happy I did this and i am living again.. good luck hugs Mary
Renee ..
My high weight was 305
Date of Surgery it was 255
Today I weigh 189
Total loss 116 lbs
Would I do it again, absolutely...positively. I no longer have sleep apnea nor do I need to use a CPAP any longer. I take no daily meds except for vitamins and I no longer have high blood pressure. I have energy, ability to do things. I feel good. I have had no real complications either which has been a blessing.
I have always been heavy even as a child. For the first time in my life I feel almost normal ... I currently weigh 16 lbs less than when I graduated from high school. I have about 60 more lbs to lose to have my BMI be in the normal range.
I'm sorry to hear that you wouldn't go thru this again. I hope things get easier for you.
Mary
I just posted this
I just need to share some excitement....I wieghed myself today...I don't do it very often anymore since the weight loss has slowed considerably. I jumped on glanced down quickly...got off then said oh that just can't be right....jumped back on...were my eyes decieving me? Did that thing just tell me I weigh 147??? Yes...after 3 times that's what it said. I'm used to a 2 being where the one now is...my brain just can't believe it! I don't ever remember being 147 lbs. I think I skipped right over that and went right into the 180's as far as I can remember. I started this journey at 279 lbs. That's 132 lbs gone off my 5'4 body. WOW....when does the brain catch up with the body? I still think of myself as 247...WOWOWOW!! 147...ok thanks for letting me share with you. WOW 147....Have a great Thursday everyone!! It's off to work.

WOW -132lbs
Started at 247 - now weigh 156. Do it again? In a heartbeat. My greatest regret is that I waited so long.
I feel like I've been given a new life; everyday is pure joy. Have there been a few bumps? Sure, but they were (and are) minor compared to what I feel like I've been given. I'm on absolutely NO MEDICATIONS at all and that's an answer to prayer.
Love to you all,
Julie
P.S. Anyone heard from Joanne, Debbie or Kelly? I haven't seen any of them on for a while.
