How close are you to your goal?
Hi everyone,
I am so excited about getting closer and closer to my goal of 175 lbs., so I was curious how close my fellow Feb. surgery patients are getting to their desired goal. I'm hoping to reach mine by my one year anniversary, how about you? Would love to hear from you!
Take care,

Rhonda,
I think I want to be around 125 lbs which would put in a normal BMI range for my height of 5'1 or 5"2". Right now I am at 189, so that is 64 lbs from now ... I'm losing about 2 lbs a week which would make it 8 months from now.
I really haven't set any deadlines to meet. I take it a day at a time. Also I know I am a success right now and am so proud of my accomplishments to date. I also don't want to get hooked into numbers as goals per se. I worry a little that I will get the attitude that if I don't get to 125 that it will trigger a feeling of failure for me. Definitely don't want that. So I focus on what I have achieved so far.
My high wt was 305
Surgery date wt was 255
Today's wt is 189
Total loss so far 116 lbs
My goal when I had surgery was to be off high blood pressure meds and also to hopefully cure my sleep apnea. I have achieved both of those goals. I can do so much more than ever before. I can buy clothes in the misses dept now instead of the woman's dept.

Congratulations! to all of you on your wls success. I personally am a very slow looser. I have lost 84 lbs in 7 months. So I will not make my goal by February. I have been loosing at the same rate since surgery, no matter what I do. So I'm very much trying to accept the fact that it will take me the full 2 years maybe a lil less to get it off. BIG
questions is for re-assurance. If we have weight to loose & we work at it it will come off won't it? This really concerns me sometimes that I will never get there. But I will, won't I ??? I have approx 117 to loose & average 2-2.5 a week although it only shows up at the end of each month, lol. Wierd. I have a total of 185 off from my highest in 1999. I also get caught up in all the numbers too and sometimes feel like a failure "sometimes" but when I really sit and think about it I know I have made a great accomplishment. I just wi**** was happening a lil faster. Sorry, this was so long.
Keep up the good work everyone!!!!!!!!!
Right now I am comfortable with my body at 179 lbs but my original goal was 165-150. My heaviest was 324 and my weight at surgery was 291 so far since surgery I have lost 112 I have surpassed my surgeons goal by 7lbs. My ideal body weight for my height is 130 if I stop now I will be happy. I think about how I felt and looked before my surgery and I have come a long way.
