possible/probable gall stones

Hi Guys, Any of you experience this? I had horrible pain just to the right of my RNY scar and nausea with bad dry heaves yesterday that lasted for about 4 hours before letting up some. Today it hasn't been too bad, but the pain is still there sometimes, kind of like a stitch in my side. I'm having an ultra sound and a HIDA scan next Monday to know for sure. Just wanted to know if any of you have experienced this or know someone who had. Linn

YES! Linn I got that same thing on occasion. I used to get it pre-op too but it was never diagnosed as anything. Worst pain ever till I would vomit and the heaves would stop. Couldnt eat for at least a day and it would knock me out cold. Good luck with the HIDA scan let me know how it goes!!! sarah

Linn, I spent most of the night last night with my son in the ER with chest pains, dry heaves that went on for hours, and so nauseated they X-rayed did blood work to find out he has a bad virus that is going around they were at first thinking it was gallstones, he is still having some pain today they told me he is sore from all the vomiting and hours of dry heaves. Maybe you have the same virus it is getting him 2 days off school. Good Luck to you I had the scan before WLS and found out no stones just a sluggish gallbladder and took actigal for 5 months after surgery to prevent stones the scan is really to watch on the monitor.
