I gained 6 pounds!! Please help!

Over the past couple of weeks the scale continues to move up! I don't know what is going on. I have gained six pounds and I'm freaking out!! I haven't changed my eating and I have been exercising 3-4 times per week. Has anybody else had this problem? What should I do? I can't believe this is happening. I feel like this was my last resort to get this weight off and I have failed. Any suggestions are welcome.

Try to up your water intake, it helps to flush your system out. I find I put on a couple of lbs areound my menstral time, but it always comes off when I have finished. You have not failed, believe me, you have lost so much already, you are a success! another thing is also that muscle weighs more than fat, So it may be that.. Good Luck. Lee

Thanks for the support. I do need to get more fluids in. Hopefully that will help.

Hi- That started happening to me too. I started going up and when I got to 3 pounds I knew I had to do something. I started a food journal and found out some interesting things. While I "thought" I was doing all of the same things, in reality I had not had good fluid intake and my protien intake was way down. I also found I was snacking more in the evening - even sugar free jello, but snacking nonetheless. Anyway, I did this food journal for a few days, saw what I needed to change and this morning I'm down the 3 pounds plus 1 more. Good Luck!

Count me in also...I've gained 4 lbs in 2 wks... I'm SOOOO PISSED at myself I've been eating a little more carbs than usual & I also excersice 4X a wk, but i REALLY can see just a small amount of "cheating" can do major damage !!!!!!!! I'm glad to see I'm not alone in this... Deb

Hi all!! I am glad that I am not in this alone. I have gained 4-5 pounds in the last 2 weeks. The only thing different is that I have started to walk 45 min a day and do some ab workouts at night. I do this 7 days a week. I hope it is muscle and the weight loss will show up soon. I ahve been discouraged and feel like I should not have started to exercise. I know it is good for me but I want to see a loss not a gain. I have lost 100 pounds. I have about 60 more to go to get to the goal the dr set and about 80 more to get to my goal. Any help will be greatful. Patty

Hi honey! I haven't excersized for 7 days and as of this morning, I have gained 7 pounds! Frustrating to say the least.....but I have a very slow metabolism, insulin resistance and I know too many carbs and not enough protein this week. Did better today..... Love!
