Dr. Mary Murphy has left!!

Yesterday I got a call from Pacific Bariatrics because I have an appointment for Sept 27 and they needed to inform me that I need to pick a new doc because Dr. Mary has left!! I saw her on July 1st and she didn't say anything about planning to leave. Does anyone have any details? I wish her well, but I feel abandoned.

What a surprise. She and her dad (Leo Murphy) have worked at PB for quite a while. I had my surgery at UCLA but had heard quite a bit about her. You should post on the CA board and see if anyone there might have more information for you. Don't feel abandoned. There are many good surgeons there and you will be well taken care of. I had it happen twice with Kaiser and it was hard, but each time we got a better doctor than before. Mary
